Las niñas estaban vestidas en sudaderas azules idénticas.
The girls were wearing identical blue sweatshirts
I’ve never had duck, the thought doesn’t appeal, esp in light of how the duck fat flavored popcorn tastes.
I had duck a l’orange once in a fancy hotel and did not care for it.
I will have duck eggs in a month or so.
I usually sauté with butter, sometimes olive oil. Duck fat sounds awful-but that might be because I don’t really like to eat duck.
One summer afternoon when I was about 7, two cousins and I got bored after we finished chores, took our little rowboat down the river, captured one of a neighbor’s ducks off the bank to bring back to eat, but it started quacking and the neighbor came down and made us let it go. She also called our parents and we all three got an ass beating-I do not like duck...
Olive oil is a little frou frou for frying bologna.
Fantastic-eggs are eggs...
I hope I will have my own place for chickens and guineas soon-I like guinea eggs, even if you do have to hunt for them sometimes.
You actually fry bologna and eat it? If you read the label on that, you see it is S*** Posing As Meat...
On occasion. It is up to 33% fat free.
Never liked boloney fried or “raw”. Mostly eat chicken or fish, occasionally steak. And I prefer veggies steamed or grilled. I use Pam to scramble eggs, so basically I’m not frying much of anything.
Will be making my Holy Saturday borscht this week. I have good wegman’s kielbasa for the stock. Still have the homemade pierogies in the freezer that we can finish up as well as the most excellent homemade poppyseed bread that I made for Christmas. I saved a loaf for Easter.
I’m not as concerned about fat as I am about empty carbs from the fillers in most processed food-I don’t think they are healthy, so I don’t eat processed food. I eat a Neolithic/Atkins type diet, with fresh food-eggs and meat mostly bought/bartered from neighbors, but it will be awhile before I have my own veggies, with this late, cold Spring.
That is hilarious! You were about to murder a duck in cold blood!
I think cavemen invented sausages once they got tired of jerky.
True, but we never thought past the excitement of chasing the duck down, capturing it and taking it home to eat-chickens and other poultry got the ax and showed up at dinner at least once a week.
Only when the owner came out called us brats, thieves, and a few choice profanities in English and Spanish did we stop to think that we knew better than to steal animals from another ranch, and that we were in real trouble...
I’m sure-it easily portable, like jerky-one of my aunts made the best sausage ever-pork and venison, spicy with chilis, and a little bit of a gamey taste.
Thats retarded.
Certain foods go with certain tastes.....
Popcorn gets butter. Like Mushrooms, or Steak...sheesh.
Just like I rarely use EVOO on things that aren’t getting a second flavor imparted.
(Diced potates carrots, Scallops(bacon fat...yum), etc...)
Onions, or garlic, and EVOO is great...or a dish that gets sauced...
There’s nothing like a hot little dish that gets sauced.
Food is good, too.
