An Ocean County resident's 3-year-old pet bobcat has been missing since March 25, leaving neighbors on edge.
Virginia Fine told NBC 10 Philadelphia her "sweet" and "super affectionate" 38-pound domesticated bobcat, Rocky, escaped through her homes back door while playing with her dog.
Rocky is up-to-date on all his shots and declawed, she told the news station. She also said he "has no aggression at all."
But residents who live near her home in Stafford Township are still on edge.

Reminds me of this SNL skit with Christopher Walken.

I had no idea you could domesticate a bobcat... that would be cool. I have the wild version where I am, and they look like they could do you like trying to juggle 6 running chainsaws in a phone booth.
If cats got to the size of big dogs, they would torture and eat you!
And there’s no such thing as a ‘domesticated’ bobcat.
"Declawed"
Give me a break. It's a bobcat and it still has teeth.
We'll see how pacified it is when it gets hungry.
No, I've never tried it myself and don't plan to, but I've learned that all one needs to do to acquire 'pet' bobcats in rural Nevada is to have a nice little unfenced grassy garden with water features in your backyard and no big dog around.
Now that was funny!
The cat won’t be able to protect itself from other predators.
Had a buddy who had two of them.
Use to walk them (him, not me) on leashes.
One mobile home park had a rash of killings on home owners domestic cats by an ‘uncatchable’ Tom cat.
My buddy said no problem, let one of his cats loose in the park one evening .. no longer a problem. 8)
These bobcats were cute.
(pointed ears and ‘butch cuts’) lol
Would sit on your lap and just stare at anything that moved.
As far as I know .. the cats never bothered anyone, as long as they were within sight of my friend.
“pet”? lol My lord.
I know people who had them. They always went wild. That, and you had to watch it around them. They did not take to strangers real well. But, if you want something to keep stray dogs away? They are the ones that will do it.
That’s a big cat.Wait till some Pitbull tries to get after him.The claws slice and dice.
Opps,I missed the declawed part.
We had one that hung around the house in Tahoe when I was a kid. It use to mooch the cat food bowl and just sat around the back yard not too concerned about anything. The cats didn’t mind much either. One blessing was the raccoons didn’t come around and get in to the trash as often.
I had no idea you could domesticate a bobcat.

Betting it’s illegal.
I went to high school with a number of Bobcats. We played the Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Coyotes, and Spartan regularly. (We once ran back three punts for touchdowns against the Spartans in the same game. We kicked their butts.)
Sophia did, and she's only 11.
It had been a dream of the spouses to have a lynx. They had consulted with specialists and read about this animal a lot. Once they heard about a little orphan lynx in one zoo and made a serious decision. The Kurilian bobteils adopted the little lynx and took care of it. The lynx still submits to the cats though its much bigger. It purrs like a cat but obeys orders like a dog.
By the way, for those who are curious, this is a Eurasian Lynx, found in Russia and other parts of Eurasia, and it is the largest member of the bobtail cat family. The Canadian Lynx is a little smaller, but still bigger than a Bobcat.

???
Mate a bobcat with a lynx and you’d get a bobolynx. Kinda like a bobolink but it can’t fly.
LOL!
