I had no idea you could domesticate a bobcat.

Direct from the fabulous World Wide Web comes 11 year old Sophia and her beautiful pet Lynx. That's right, Bobcat's are nice, but, especially if you live in a colder climate, why not step right up to their bigger cousin, the Lynx!

Sophia did, and she's only 11.

It had been a dream of the spouses to have a lynx. They had consulted with specialists and read about this animal a lot. Once they heard about a little orphan lynx in one zoo and made a serious decision. The Kurilian bobteils adopted the little lynx and took care of it. The lynx still submits to the cats though it’s much bigger. It purrs like a cat but obeys orders like a dog.

By the way, for those who are curious, this is a Eurasian Lynx, found in Russia and other parts of Eurasia, and it is the largest member of the bobtail cat family. The Canadian Lynx is a little smaller, but still bigger than a Bobcat.
