There's something undeniably creepy about big, expansive libraries. The hushed whispers, the almost artificial quiet, and the smell of dusty tomes combine to create a surreal experience. But when it comes to creepy libraries, Harvard University might take the cake... you see, three of its books are bound in human skin.

Signature cards on all three books contained the name, ‘Buffalo Bill’.

This is neat, but the article's title isn't honest.
Harvard discovers three of its library books are bound in human flesh. They didn't "discover" anything of the sort. Harvard has known this for many, many years. The Harvard article linked in this article indicates that they've known about one of the books since the 1930's.
I've read previously that this practice reached its apex during the French Revolution, when there were plenty of corpses to go around.
Also, anthropodermic bibliopegy is an awesome term. Scrabble-worthy words.

It's not vivisepulture, but anthropodermic bibliopegy is something else to be phobic about.

I guess Reader’s Digest Condensed books were originally wrapped in foreskins.
To get the full volume, simply rub the cover.

Note the faces you can see in the skin book covers. Only takes a little imagination to see screaming faces, lol. Check it out. (See comments at end of original article at link.)
