"Most headlights are made of polycarbonate plastic, which is durable and scratch-resistant. But over time polycarbonate clouds over, mostly due to UV rays that degrade the outer layer of plastic. .....

There’s another one out there....a granny *twerking* and you can see the wagon off to the side. I don’t even know what they are selling.
Found it: LOL

Toothpaste makes an excellent and inexpensive polish for glass and plastic without scratching.
Apply sparely in small circular motions with a cloth that is less abrasive that the toothpaste.
I suggest you polish a small section first to get the hang of it. I doubt that young people have ever spit-shined shoes but the same principle applies.
They’re the same, just a different angle and lighting.
Looks like a VW, probably a 1994-1997 B4 series Passat.
Sounds like a winner!
I like wagons in general. They’re very available in Europe, but here, you have to deal with jacked-up SUVs to get that functionality. There are very few wagons on the market here, as compared to Europe.
Bug splatters? You mean like our love bugs twice a year? If left alone they will destroy clear coat. Bounce dryer sheets will remove them nicely but require a good rinse.

“Toothpaste! Yes - it works, is readily available, and cheap.”
Also...got a lovebug prob on your vehicle? Use peanut butter. The oils in it somehow break down the bug, then wipe off. Though it should be done right away, or the bug oxidizes the paint.
Sugar ants? Apply a small mixture of Boric Acid powder and Caro syrup(about the size of a pea, smear a small amount on a piece of paper and place where you think they are coming in...ie, outlets, etc. It’s like “crack” for ants. haha.
Cut yourself? Apply some coffee grinds. Caffeine constricts vessels, therefore reduces/or stops non-arterial bleeding.
There are so many cheap, easy, remedies for so many things. Now, I’m not talking about “Kevin Trudeau Remedies”, but REAL remedies. In fact, I don’t know of any old remedy that has stopped being useful. But because the nation’s motto is “There’s a sucker born every minute”, so many are ‘taken in’ by modern-day newfangled products...that don’t work. Or, don’t work well. At times, I too am a sucker for an occasional bad product, but usually will often find a home remedy that will compete.
I wonder if that would help with the ticks? The engine has a few of them.
