Winning the Darwin Award making a cutting edge cultural statement.
3,5000-volt. Hard to know what to make of that.

I thought in Europe they used the ‘,’ where we used the ‘.’.
That would make it 3.5000 volts?

The young man from the Andalusian town of Andújar suffered the fatal blow when he touched a high-voltage wire on a train he and his friends had assumed was not electrified. And we all know what happens when you "AssUMe".

Reporters are reporters because they don’t know much about anything.
Could be 3-phase, 5000 volt with -phase being replaced with the symbol for phase (the Greek phi). Mr. Journalism Degree saw that and decided that it was a typo and removed it.

3,5000-volt. Hard to know what to make of that. The maximum non-permanent voltage on overhead train wires is 3.6 kV. The reporter probably meant 35,000 volts.
