The level of stupidity is striking. This petty dictator is so shocked that a parent placed her child’s needs over deference to the almighty principal’s bureaucratic nonsense that she called the police on a parent that the school called in? The mom needs an apology, and the tyrant needs a now job away from children. I’m sure the Obama administration is looking for someone just like her.

Increasing numbers of reports indicate that our schools are being administered by blithering idiots.

Maybe not the whole story is not being told. I hate news reporting.

From someone who posted on the article that knows the mother. The mother’s a nut job according to the poster. With the story being one sided we really don’t know the truth. The poster’s reply below:

First of all that is an out right lie. This mother son is ED Emotional Disturbed and is not Autistic. The teacher did not call frantically. This mother has been an issue every since her children have attended Walnut Grove. She has threaten to stab a mother and has had conflicts with another family which led to the police and the family having a meeting on Wednesday.

I feel the news needs to investigate before putting anything on the air. Next time check the background of the parent before believing anything they say. She knows school and district policy. All she had to do was stop by the office and sign in. Also her son went outside and played while the police escorted her out of the building.

Yet another example of inability to think on the part of school officials. What idiots.

The simple minded desperately need to stick to protocols. It prevents them from doing difficult things, like think and make sound judgments.

I work at a law firm where I helped them develop deposition and litigation protocols. I have to remind someone at least weekly that the protocols are a model, not a prison.

Broader topic: mainstreaming special needs kids does not work.

Bad for special needs kids -- lack of specialized care.
Bad for average kids -- teachers have to focus on kids with problems.
Bad for gifted kids -- special programs are made for troubled kids, no resources left for the gifted.
Bad for communities -- schools become totally dysfunctional.

No one in this story knew how to behave rationally. Because the situation was botched from the start. Mainstreaming doesn't work.

The school called her. The school buzzed her in. Mom has an open and shut case. It’s too bad that all the other parents will be paying for her lawsuit winnings via taxes, but that’s the price of strangling common sense with a staff of bureaucratic know-nothings.

We have lost our collective minds in allowing these administrators this type of authority.

Used to be schools had entrances all over the building, that were always open during school hours.

Now they have turned them into jails. I am suprised that she didn’t get a cavity search before entry.

The idiocy of the educational system is nearly equal to their arrogance in assuming they have more rights to our children than do parents.

Homeschooling is the only answer, today. For the long term, however, we must eliminate the Dept of Education, and relieve the fedgov stranglehold on state and local boards of education.

We live in a world where officials are obsessed with procedure, with no regard as to whether it’s got anything to do with accomplishing the stated goal. Whether it’s schools with idiotic zero tolerance policies, or TSA clowns strip searching granny at the airport, we’re at the mercy of moronic petty dictators backed up by henchmen with guns and badges.

Several years ago I accompanied my wife to her daughter’s adopted child’s school. Her daughter signed us in then went outside. We proceeded to the cafeteria and had lunch with the child. This took place in a small town in NC where a 9 year old girl had been missing for several months and her dismembered body had been found a few days earlier. You’d think the school would have been more careful.

With this lady in the article, it’s just plain stupid what they did. Take my example and couple it with the article and it shows how schools are at both ends of the extreme and there seems to be no middle.

This is the core of ignorance being trusted to educate our children. Stupid non-thinking robots that are indoctrinating the children in the same philosophy they were taught.

The scene in Uncle Buck with Miss Anita Hoargarth should be considered a training video for parents on how to deal with public school administrators.

Part 1

Part 2 (Good day to you, Madam)
