Doe anybody out there KNOW someone who ha signed up and PAID for ObamaCare? The reason why I am asking is that I have asked many people I know and NONE of them have signed up (PAID) for ObamaCare. The closest I come to actually knowing someone who signed up and PAID for ObamaCare is WILLIAM RIVERS PITT and that has turned into a disaster story.
So where are the HHS coming from? Some come from the looky loos. People who merely looked around their website and then split without purchasing. Others come from duplicate (and more) applications of people who tried to sign up and then gave up when they found out the cost. If they tried three or four times, they are probably counted as three or four "enrollments." In fact YOURS TRULY might be counted twice because a couple of times I started filling out the ObamaCare just out of curiously before splitting.
So back to my question: Do any of you know someone who actually signed up (PAID) for ObamaCare?
I’m uninsured po folk and I want nothing to do with Obamacare.
I don’t know if anyone I know has. Nobody in my family has. Nor will they.
Got out of the annual healthcare meeting at Noon. Premiums up 7%.
No
I know a mad as hell business owner who had her policy of 20 years cancelled. Since she can easily control her income she signed up and got subsidies. Then the Obiwan said she could keep her policy so she cancelled and switched back. She lost her first month’s payment but was working hard to get it back. But, that’s it.
I’m out of work and would ordinarily have gotten a catastrophic care policy. That is now illegal. My intention is to hold out until the ACA is gone and Obama is in prison for treason.
Sign up for nobamacare???? I don’t hang with anyone that ignorant.
I personally do not know of anyone who has signed up, or that are planning to sign up.
There was a FReeper who posted (last week?) that he/she has and LOVES 0DeathCare.
Considering most everyone on FR is staunchly conservative, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who has or even knows someone who has.
That being said, my company announced a couple weeks ago that our health premiums weren’t increasing so there is no point at considering Obamacare when my premiums/deductible are comparable to the Obamacare Gold Plan at a fraction of the cost.
I know exactly 2 people that have singed up. Both said it was a nightmare and more costly with less coverage.
So far the government is only able to estimate that about 300,000 people who were never insured have taken advantage of what we have to assume would be free for them since they never had any coverage before.
I visit several discussion boards on local news sites where I have lived before and where I plan to live in the future. I ask this question often and a handful of people claim to have signed up. But, when I ask them particulars about their premiums, deductibles and the level of plan they chose they each backed away and admitted they are actually "still shopping".
No.
But then, I huddle in my house all these years and don’t have many contacts. The few people I really know - family - have not.
It can’t be kept hidden forever ... :-) ...
Sure. My sister and her husband. They live in Wisconsin and both retired about 2 years ago. Within a year after retirement, my sister needed two hip replacements because of osteoarthritis. My brother-in-law was found to have cancer. Fortunately, they had continued their employment health insurance through COBRA. Unfortunately, when COBRA expired after 18 months, no insurance company would touch them. Fortunately, Wisconsin had health insurance available for folks like my sister and her husband.
I know my sister had problems signing up for Obamacare, but she persevered and they both have it now.
BTW, they are currently 63 and 64 years old. Too young for Medicare.
You mean not counting those who used BHO’s name and social security number, and the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue address? Nope.
“Got out of the annual healthcare meeting at Noon. Premiums up 7%.”
Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones...this year, at least.
There's a phrase I've never heard in my life. Will probably hear it 2 more times in the next 24 hours.
Nobody I know. Most are still on employer health plans.
How does “no” sound?
