WASHINGTON (AP) -- Black students are more likely to be suspended from U.S. public schools -- even as tiny preschoolers.
The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department's civil rights arm.
The suspensions -- and disparities -- begin at the earliest grades.
Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said. Six percent of the nation's districts with preschools reported suspending at least one preschool child.

It could also be a government issue. Say you have a private preschool in a small town in Kentucky with all white children. Kid acts up and hits another kid. The teacher knows the parents and some level of trust exists. The teacher grabs the kid, marches him to the corner, and makes him stay there until he settles down. Parents pick the child up at the end of the day and say “we’ll have a talk with our son when we get home. Sorry for the problem and thanks for handling it.”
Now imagine it’s the middle of Washington, D.C. In this case, the preschool worker is being paid by the government. They are so afraid of lawsuits that they can’t touch a child. So a kid acts up and hits another kid. They can’t touch the misbehaving child, but they can’t let him in stay in class for fear of a lawsuit from the child that go hit. Suspension is the only legal remedy.
Less dads in the family than others and massive government meddling IMO.
And that is the case throughout the world, wherever they live, not just in America. They would say it’s because of racism, but many races are discriminated against. I think it’s the dysfunctional culture.
From the original article:
**Losen said it's appropriate to discipline a 4-year-old, but a more appropriate response might be moving them to a different educational setting with additional services.**
It's the teacher's fault. < /sarc >
“Could there be a reason for this?”
Probably because they’re still pooping in their pants.
The evil racist members of the teachers’ union are at work again.
Exactly. No one ever complains about the disproportionate number of men incarcerated. For any category of crime. But then, men are unPC so maybe that is just OK.
disproportionate to their numbers.
they’re over achievers. That’s all.
ANY time someone says stats show that racism/sexism/name your ism is responsible for one group or another being unfairly treated, I use the male vs female prison population statistic and ask if thier single stat is all they have. I then propose that the numbers may be different for the same reason prison numbers are different. i.e. it is quite fair and the responsibility of those they are inferring - falsely - are being unfairly treated.
You are quite right in your observation.
It’s overstated that dads aren’t around for blacks. That is a key issue but it is only part of it - after all, would those men be real good dads?
The women tend to be extremely abusive. It is not “lack” of discipline, but poor discipline. As you stated often there is total ignorance and uncaring about what the kid is doing. If it keeps the kid out of her hair, that’s fine with her. Too lazy to pay attention and do something. But if it’s something that annoys HER, she will haul off and beat the $:&;&//-@& out of the kid.
Meanwhile, I saw a Judge Judy that made my blood boil. These women thugs actively support the thug culture. This woman was on there who actually told her cute little 5yo boy that he needs to go beat up some kid who dissed him. Whatever it was, it was appalling how she proudly mouthed off how she did this. Judge Judy was agape. Never mind me. They actively promote this trash life. That poor little boy who still looked basically nice, needed to be taken from that trash.
It ain't rocket surgery.
It’s not racial. It’s behavioral. The breakdown in black society and civility reaches all the way to the cradle. Denying it, or using accusations of racism to escape the realities of broken black culture, won’t do anything but make the problem worse.
You mention the inhibitors like religion, parents, education, and culture to their lifestyle.
You forgot THE inhibitor that drives all those other societal structures to inhibit poor behaviors - CONSEQUENCES.
The removal of consequences (through the govt) has led to the destruction of the family, lack of desire for education, and the destruction of their culture as well.
You’re right there, but I was referring to the welfare state removing the consequences of sloth and anti-social behavior.
it might help if they had parents who really gave a s... and didn’t feed them with hate. My dad use to tell me, when I was trying to talk my way out of something.......don’t be an alibi ike.....which was his way of telling me to take responsible for what I may or may not have done....
Generational welfare recipients, whose source of financial support is your money and mine, definitely reflect what you’re referring to. It’s easy money for them, and they don’t want it any other way.
