White House pastry chef resigns: ‘I don’t want to demonize cream, butter, sugar and eggs’

White House executive pastry chef Bill Yosses is resigning after First Lady Michelle Obama fundamentally changed his job duties to focus on healthier food.
Yosses is leaving the White House in June to work on a new project focusing on food literacy and The New York Times says Michelle is partly to blame. The openly gay chef was hired by Laura Bush in 2007 to make his trademark cookie plates and sugar sculptures. Mrs. Obama took over in 2009 and ordered Yosses to make healthier plates in smaller portions.
Yosses began replacing butter with fruit puree and sugar with honey and agave. But Yosses was never fully committed to the new policy.

The overwhelming majority of famous pastry chefs were and are not gay, for that matter the overwhelming majority of famous Chefs are also heterosexual men. I don't know why people think otherwise. Being a Chef is (or used to be) a respected profession regardless of chosen sexuality. Being a pastry Chef requires the talent of an artist and the skill of Chef and while it might attract sociopathic narcissists (not that I'm bitter, she had her good points).

Per an old riddle I remember as a kid, he's just tired of being "mean".
Q: Why are bakers so mean?
A: Because they beat the eggs and whip the cream.

I think it's probably more of the gay nazis, editors, and other promoters of the gay lifestyle that obsess over it.
Remember the RNC convention is 2000? One pubbie congresscritter that happened to be gay was chastised by all the talking heads for not talking about gay issues when he was given floor time to speak about national financial issues, his area of expertise and concern.

Your taxpayer dollars at work. The important roll (punny) of white house pastry chef can not go unfilled. What kind of nation would we be without a white house pastry chef, calligrapher, and tea taster?

I just took a stick of butter out of the freezer. 36 oatmeal cookies for a snack tonight.
My dear wife found a recipe for oatmeal cookies with sorgum syrup instead of molassas. YUM!

This is Mrs. Obamas house, Mr. Yosses... That's strange - during previous administrations, the White House was described as "The People's House". How things have changed.

An armed member of the Secret Services counter-assault team emerged from a stand of blooming dogwood trees, eyeing him protectively...Is there more to this than meets the eye? Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.

Now, he’s free to make wedding cakes for his friends all over the U.S., who keep pestering Christian bakeries.

The man was reduced from a chef to a gardener. I’d have left years earlier.
