Sorry, have to vent as I cannot stand these moronic liberal bicyclists in their stupid monogram tights and stupid gay shoes who cannot stay within the lines of their bike lanes.
To the idiot tonight....keep drifting out of your bike lane and don't be surprised if one day you end up on the underside of my F350.
The stupidest people allowed on public roads.....
re: JIPUs
I know exactly what you mean. Nearly always male drivers, whom I assume see their vehicle as an extension of their anatomy.
Being a skilled cyclist myself, I'm sure glad I never have to worry about anyone who has obtained a driver's license from the government doing something dumb and reckless.
I’ve been following this thread since the first ping.
All I can do is shake my head at some of the posters.
As a part time biker who does ride on public roads I try an stay on the white line or to the right of it.
I’m surprised I still have my left elbow after how close a number of cars and trucks come even when there are no other cars on the road.
Come on TdF
Cycling shorts are made of a form-fitting, light-weight elastic material (Lycra) that maximizes comfort and support and wicks moisture away from the body. They are form fitting and stretch in every direction to provide both comfort and freedom of movement. The surface is slick in texture to provide the least resistance to wind as possible.
Cyclists do not use sidewalks. But, some people who bought bicycles do. Just like some people who run do it on sidewalks where people walk and push strollers, or on the wrong side of a busy roadway where they can be seen and admired for the grimace on their face.
After being here on FR for years, it finally dawned on me that there real haters on both the left and the right.
Bicycling in spandex is no more a left wing activity than driving in the left lane all day long. Unfortunately, I’ve counted the bumper stickers left and right. Conservatives lose.
A good friend of mine was killed while riding his bike in Cincinnati 2 weeks ago by a hit and run drunk driver.
So who was the conservative and who was the liberal?
To those of you that mesh your biases with your politics, you are the ones that make us all look bad. You have crossed over to be the exact same people that you say are ruining this country.
Their mothers never told them not to play in traffic. Too stupid to live.
So anybody who has a dislike, grievance or complaint is a "hater", eh ?
Gee, where have we heard that before, and hear it all the time today ?
I never used to wear those spandex shorts and shirts and I was able to ride my bicycle just fine. If they have some padding to negate testicle destruction I can see the point. Otherwise wear shorts and t-Shirts or be joked at like those midget soccer players
But all in all I don’t mind sharing the road with cyclists. KNOCK yourselves out!!! I see groups cycling and having a good time.
A number of posters in this thread crossed the “dislike” line.
Either that or they forgot to include /s.
“So anybody who has a dislike, grievance or complaint is a “hater”, eh ?”
No, not necessarily. However, thoughts of running cyclists over or fantasizing about their death is.
I'm thinking that scene is being played out with a contemporary flare many times over in Colorado and California these days.
Now, I'll enlighten you about cyclists and pedestrians.
Hunter College (New York City) reviewed all New York state hospital records for 2007-2011.
Hospital admissions averaged 1000 pedestrians per year who were injured by a cyclist.
Now, Google “Pedestrians Killed By Cyclists.”
On the first page you will find news reports about pedestrians killed by cyclists in San Francisco, Queens, Austin, and Portland, Oregon.
By the way, Hunter College calls them “cyclists,” too.
I don’t “hate” cyclists. I “hate” an entitlement attitude, and that is something too many cyclists have in spades.
I believe that's allowed per the FR EULA.
(in the fine print somewhere, under 'features' d:^)
