The survivor of a serious motorbike crash has made surgical history after his entire face was rebuilt using 3D printed parts.
Stephen Power is thought to be one of the first trauma patients in the world to have 3D printing technology used at every stage of the medical procedure to restore his looks.
Doctors at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, had to break his cheekbones again before rebuilding his face in an eight-hour operation.

Wow. That is incredible. My son’s reconstruction after 32 compound facial fractures was limited. What they were able to do was amazing, but they left some places alone.

And I can finally look passing human.

I’d like a chassis that is a little tougher to damage.

I was somewhere around 26 when I got a Honda 400-4. My next bike was a GS-1000, but it got stolen when I rode it
to night school. I got another one, and it’s the one I crashed. Repaired it, sold it, and got a GS1100, which I still have,
although I’m too arthritic to ride it anymore.
Bryan has a Katana and two Nortons, one for spare parts.

Our son is full of titanium now via insurance. It is fascinating yet awful that he had to go through what he did.
To: Darksheare
We have the technology, we can make him stronger, faster, smarter, er, ummm, uhhhm, well stronger and faster anyway...

Had a mental image of them fusing some extra technology to him.
“Doc, I hate to ask, but is this...is this a laser cannon sticking out of my face?”
Full on mad science.
Thankfully, this man won’t have to worry about that.

Oh yeah.
Google glass.
Ugh.
At least a mad science laser cannon would serve a purpose.
Google glass just looks like stupid hipster trash.
