This winter's harsh weather has brought a record amount of ice to Lake Michigan. The National Weather Service measured the ice cover on Saturday at more than 93-percent, which is the most ice on the lake since the start of record keeping in 1973. The old record was set in 1977.

Just talked to a friend from that area. He is saying that the breaker crews are concerned about damage because of massive amounts of ice.

Didn’t you know that global warming causes temperatures to get colder. I have heard stupid liberals say this more than once.

I remember the winter of 76-77 real well. It was a real SOB that year. The next summer was pretty hot also. So if the cycle remains..it will be hot this next summer.

Just to review, so you are current with the latest “science,” this cold winter is just “weather.” If it it hot next summer that is man made climate change.

Dunno about that, but, if you all live along the Ol Miss, I would be a tad concerned. That ice goes south from the upper Miss, and it causes jams.

Yet there are many sheeple that call this ice a direct result of global warming.

I don’t know. Our goldfish and Koi in the pond were covered in a thick sheet of ice except for a small hole and they’re fine now. You could see them perfectly still but for the tip of their tail moving every few seconds.

Don’t worry, Chicago/DesPlaines/Illinois River Longshoremen will control that ice...

as soon as Al Gore gets their contribution!

All the ice must be dry ice from all of the CO2 emitted from fossil fuel power plants and SUV's.

No, it is a cycle. Would be curious to go and see what the cycles have been since back then. I aint got time, so have at it. But, try and explain that to the fruits and nuts.
Other than that, it fits just right with the fruit and loons climate change agenda. LOL.

Oh you ought to see how they are pissing and moaning around the Soo because of the ice.

They say some of the pile ups are really thick around the harbors. They’ll have to blast to clear.

Dude! The upper Midwest STILL talks about the snow storm of January 1978.

College students diving off the roof (5th Floor) of the Science Center into snow drifts...
7-11 out of beer at 4PM SUNDAY with no deliveries scheduled for 4 days.

Up-hill - both ways - over broken glass embeded in the ice on the sidewalk without shoes.

(did I miss anything?)
