Where is Stephen King when you need him?
Seriously? Trapped by an angry 22lb feline?
Good thing this generation of softies won’t ever have to blaze trails westward and tame the wilderness - they’d never make it.
One word: shotgun.
When did America become a land of pu$$ies?
The cat went feral right inside the house. Some are just predisposed to not accept domestication, no matter how well fed they may be.
Sometimes euthanization is the only option. Bad behavior in cats is not an easy condition to bring under control, if it is at all possible.
The cat could have something as drastic as a tumor or another serious nervous system disorder.
Was it Julie Newmar?
Just to qualify this, we have 3 cats, so it’s not like we hate cats, but if this sort of thing happened in our household, the cat would be gone! You can’t allow a family pet to attack you or your kids and keep it around.
Jaysus. You don’t even need a gun to protect yourself from a cat. A piece of wood is all it takes to learn the bast’d some respect.
This should make for a great ‘B’ horror movie!
Not a place kicker among them, eh?
Himalayans aren’t a wild breed, IIRC.
Not like a “savana cat” or something.
Weird. We have a very gentle Maine Coon. Might be approaching 20#, but I’d have no hesitation in shooting him if he did something like that.
“the family and their dog hid in a bedroom”
THE DOG TOO???
I can’t wait for the headlines about the baby when he/she weighs in at 23 lbs. How far can you punt a 22 lb cat? (Damn, now I’m in deep trouble with PETA.)
The cat's full name is Lux Lethor
Cowards. Grab the little bastard and slam him against the wall. You’ll get scratched. It happens. Bunch of fags.
Kick the thing, then kick it out. Is it really that damn hard?
Cats have been known to do this - just flip out - and they can be extremely vicious when they attack. I had a friend whose cat suddenly leaped onto her back from a bannister when she was going upstairs. The cat clawed her so severely on the upper arm and shoulder that she needed many stitches, was left with serious scars - and then on top of that, got “cat scratch fever” (a type of blood poisoning from their dirty little claws) that had her in the ICU for nearly a week. The cat had occasionally been a little weird, but never to this extent, and the attack was completely unprovoked.
Another friend who was an EMT was called to a “cat attack” and laughed all the way to the address - when she saw a mother and daughter being hustled out of the house, covered in blood, by police who had responded to shoot the cat. In this case, the mother said that the cat was always “bad tempered,” and when it tried to bite her leg, she pushed it away and it went ballistic, leaping at them and literally chasing them around the apartment. When she paused to grab her daughter, the cat leaped on her, ripping up her face and upper body.
Cats are evil.
