A SUNY Brockport student from West Seneca and a Genesee County man have been arrested for allegedly forcing a dog to be held upside down and drink beer.
Brockport Police report that Robert Yates, 20, took a photo of the dog being held over the beer keg and posted it to Twitter at a Saturday night house party. Officers also arrested Shane Oliver, 20, of Bergen. Both are facing charges of torturing/injuring animals.
The dogs owner was apparently not involved.
The college issued a statement saying, We were alarmed to learn of this disturbing photo. The College is investigating this matter and will take appropriate action once the details surrounding the photo are learned.

What does the dog have to say about it? Does he like beer? Did he lap it up?
When I was a teen, we used to poor beer into my friend’s Golden Retreiver’s water dish and that sucker would lap it up, and after a while would rage around the house drunk as a skunk and bouncing off walls.
And I mean we used to “pour poor beer” as in PBR.
It’s pretty tough to make a dog drink stuff it doesn’t want to.
That’s alcohol abuse. On a seperate note, my neighbor’s hunting dog helped himself up at bird hunting camp. He knocked over my beer and slurped it up. “Baron!”
Knowing Goldens, the dog probably loved it.
Good, they should have been arrested. Imbeciles.
I used to have a mustang mare that liked those vodka and fruit juice drinks.Had to cut her off at 2 or 3,she was a mean drunk.
The offer of Coffee or beer can be used to chase them away from where they are not wanted.
I had a chicken who used to get into my vodka drink when I wasn’t looking. Eggs were good.
My Golden would bounce off walls if someone just entered the house. “Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!Someone new to play with!!!!!!!!”
Had a friend in high school whose basset hound loved beer. He’d drink it out of a bowl or out of the can if you’d hold it up ... then let out a belch that could be heard in the next block. LOL

Generalized Dispersion of Mandated Consequence
People who give their dogs booze are mindless jackasses.
Dumb animals don’t know any better.
We’re supposed to but obviously, some don’t.
