I voted (at 5 pm today) for Ted Cruz... he has (at the time) 18,140 votes to Rand Paul’s 18,361. Both would be great for the US’s 44th president (to me Obama is not the 44th president, he is the 1st DICTATOR).

Cruz for me. After the Kenyan, Natural Born won’t matter much. The RINOs will get out the long knives for all of us, Ted, Sarah, Rand, et al. Jeb will get the nomination, and lose. They won’t care, as long as a conservative doesn’t win. They’ll be comfortable with Hillary, and bide their time. For shame.

At the moment, Sarah is in third/fourth place, behind Paul and Cruz. Bearing in mind that the poll is open to everyone, not just Republicans or Conservatives or GOP Primary voters, this is amazing.

1.) Nobody thinks she is running, so to place that well so far is telling. Everyone else on this list is assumed to be running.

2.) Cruz = Palin as far as who generally supports them (no, not EVERYONE, but most), and I imagine most of these votes go behind whichever of the two run.

3.) Paul and online voting, especially since he’s gonna get 100% of the Liberal and Libertarian vote, is going to be as accurate as Paul and straw polls. No online poll or straw poll with the name “Paul” in it is ever won by anyone else, ever. His support is monumentally overstated for that reason.

In reality, I see this as an interesting sign for both Cruz and Palin. As long as one of them runs, and the other supports them, I think we have the power to rock the primaries and minimize the Huckatorum vote-splitting of the past couple of cycles.

I’ll take either Cruz or Palin, and I am very encouraged at BOTH of their chances right now between recent GOP polls and this Drudge poll.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy, but in my estimation he could very well win the nomination and he would be a good one to have, I just do not see him able to win a general election thats all.

Its not based the media telling me something, but the poll numbers are not favorable for him as of now, and in elections you have to win the undecideds and I just do not see Ted Cruz doing that. I think Rand Paul could do that because his appeal is similar to his fathers (although he will have a real chance unlike Ron) in that he will be able to get the undecided voters and independents. He got the largest ovation at C-PAC and he got three times the votes of Cruz in the CPAC straw poll.

And I am certainly not a vote for the most conservative person who can win, I voted for Ron Paul last year in the primary and I knew there was no way he was going to win, much less win in my state.

Last time it was Romney's "turn". Before that it was McCain's "turn". No more turns. Candidates need to earn it, and so far only Cruz and Paul seem really wanting to fight for it.

What you pointed out is the reason Palin WON’T run. If she was to run and have to drop out early, it would not be good.

I Would vote for Rand Paul if I had to vote right now. I would probably take Ted Cruz second. I also like Paul Ryan, but he doesnt seem to have much momentum as of now. Christie no thanks. Perry has been a great governor for Texas but I don’t know his lack of articulation and the fact that he is from Texas I think will turn too many people off as being like another Bush, and no thanks on Jeb.

I like what Sarah Palin has to say, but a presidential candidate needs a thicker national-level resume than that. I really wish she were to run for Senate, or hold any kind of formal position other than "self-employed book-writer and king-maker".

Palin's record in elective office is much greater than Mitt Romney's, and Obama's of 2008.

Romney's 20 years of running resulted in a single win, 48 months in the gov seat, versus 32 for Palin, his having to give up on reelection, and leaving office with 34% approval.
