RUSSELL Henley won the US PGA Tour Honda Classic with a birdie at the first hole of a four-way playoff, denying Rory McIlroy in a tournament hed led for three rounds.
Henley rolled in his birdie putt at the par-five 18th for the victory after Northern Irelands two-time major champion McIlroy, Scotlands Russell Knox and American Ryan Palmer had all parred the par-five that served as the decider.
Henley had parred his final three holes after a double bogey at the par-three 15th to close out a two-over par 72 and finish the tournament on eight-under 272.
McIlroy endured a difficult day at PGA National, posting a four-over 74, while Knox carded a one-over 71 and Palmer posted a one-under 69.

Way to go Paula and Russell!
Is she loose? She will be right down the road at Pinehurst at the US Open in the summer. Might need to make the trip from Fayetteville. :>)
IMy private reply email box is empty...:-)
I’m sensing a message...
He’s not hurt. He wasn’t winning and needed an excuse. He will make a miraculous recovery when it is time to show up at a major or other event where they pay him an appearance fee.
People that dont have a bad back cant understand.
Would she even be on MD if not for her implants...just saying
at least one major in 2014...no need to fight about it, call me on it after the end of this year. One of us will be right and 1 wrong
I recently noticed a segment where the gang was all standing in front of the landscape screen and she was more or less facing the camera. While someone else was talking she either noticed a monitor or got a signal from someone behind the camera and she rotated sideways and adjusted her posture up with her shoulders back.
Maybe I'm over critical, but when I watch golf channel it's for golf not lounge acts or all gal Big Spring Break.
I’ve seen worst rough....*smiles*
Tiger is a big baby with a losers limp.

His back is now his “go to” excuse for bad play
Tiger's got issues/problems...the youngsters are coming up, and he's feeling some aches and pains..but I think his biggest problem is between his ears..he feels tremendous pressure to win a major again, but now, if he's in the lead or close to it, I think he feels the pressure even more....and it affects his play. Sometimes his woods ( no pun meant) desert him...
First off, Paula is very moody-the volunteers at the tournament never knew if she was going to be nice, or bite their heads off. She was either very friendly or very b*tchy. She even reported one of the volunteers to tourney officials for asking for an autograph. Other times, very accommodating-you never knew...
She has open-carry armed guards everywhere she goes. Can’t say I blame her, though...
As a hole marshal, we traded positions every fourth foursome. I had the immense pleasure of following her for about 200 yards down the fairway during a changeover-she’s all there, lemme tell ya!
It was also our duty, when players walked onto the tee, to escort them across the cart path. Paula stopped to give a little girl one of her pink balls. Paula signed it and spoke briefly with the girl. As she walked past me, I whispered “Where’s mine”? and grinned. She locked eyes with me, scowled, gritted her teeth, and said “Thank you for volunteering this week”!
Now, I heard this story from the hole marshals on an adjacent hole as we were leaving for the day:
During the Pro-Am, Paula walked down the fairway, looked around and didn’t see her caddy. He was back on the tee BS’ing with some people. She teed up a ball, hit it toward him and hit the bag. The witnesses said he jumped about 2 feet straight up, grabbed the bag, and RAN down to her!
I had a lot of fun on Tuesday, the player’s practice round. All the ladies were very friendly, signing autographs and posing for pictures. (When the actual play starts, though, don’t even make eye contact)! The only person who gave me any guff was Christina Kim. Unusual, because she’s supposed to be one of the most fan-friendly on the tour. I was mistaken several times for a reporter, so maybe that was her problem.
Morgan Pressel and Helen Alfredsson were extremely nice. Helen was non-stop hilarious! Stacy Lewis was very friendly too, but she hangs with an awfully “rough looking” bunch.
Sunday golf ping
But Tiger Woods....oh well. He must be mentioned every weekend no matter how big a loser he is. He is the past. He has been surpassed by younger and better golfers. Woods will never win another Major.
Fight was the wrong word...Sorry :)
Hey I just put this on my desk top, will make contact with you when he wins this year, 1 of the 4.
If he does not I will give you thumbs up for your prediction
Hopefully will be talking to you in early April, oh lets say around the 13th, think it starts around that weekend, The Masters
Until then
BTW I am a regular on the Golf Channel forum, more than you wanted to know, but boy does it get nasty on there when the subject of Tiger comes up.
Also more than you wanted to know, but I am a WASP that roots for Tiger big time, I dont judge him for his personal struggles, became a fan of his years before his struggles surfaced (pleasures of the flesh)
I was just your average golf fan, wasn`t particularly a Tiger fan really, loved Jack watched lots of golf on tv, love the game
I became a fan really just from seeing him ripped week after week by the golf media, so really just started rooting for him out of fairness
The same guys that were so concerned about all his girlfriends, disliked him before any of that surfaced.
Many of the on air Golf guys are very unprofessional, I should not be able to tell from their coverage if they happen to like Tiger personally or not, should be covered like hockey im my opinion, he shoots he scores and thats it, regardless who it is.
I am a Conservative Christian, probably could call me ultra Conservative
As for Tigers personal struggle with the flesh, but for the grace of God go I, I might even add...God be merciful to me a sinner!
Again my life story sorry, more, much more than you wanted to know, but thats how I became a big Tiger fan, not normally a person that is drawn to someone just because they are the best, just so happened because I think I am a fair person
Mind you a lot of people I root for all seem to be under dogs in some way or fashion, they never win elections for me either, but I love em
The double standard is incredible when it comes to Tiger, and NO I DONT EVER THROW THE RACISM WORD AROUND (caps for emphases) because I dont like Obama, and really get annoyed when people throw racism word around, so I never do that.
On the Golf channel forum you have some of those people, you can tell the shallow ones that are only rooting for Tiger because he happens to share their skin tone, those people are easy to spot because they also condemn you if you happen to say bad things about Obama
But I remind them to watch the crowds following Tiger on tv, the ones living and dying with him on every shot, they are clearly mostly white absolutely
Yes I get beat up a lot for my support of him, in fact I only became a bigger fan as he was condemned all the more over his struggles with the pleasure of the flesh
Jim Nantz takes the cake, heres a guy that wanted Tiger to answer very very personal questions about his life, actually wanted him to talk about his divorce etc publicly..
Very ironic Jim Nantz when on a book tour, some “journalists” wanted to talk about his divorce and he rightly said that was personal, so he did not want to talk about his personal life but thought Tiger should
Then you have Rich Learner, even more self righteous than Jim if that was possible
Unfortunately, Rory's whole family, his financee AND his finance's family were there to witness the melt.
Oh, and Baynative, I'd also like to see Holly in a tanktop.

What a waste of a good tanktop.
Many years ago, (mid 80's) one of my clients, who was a board member of the Wykagyl CC in New Rochelle, NY, gave me a pair of VIP passes to the LPGA event the club then used to host. I took one of my top producers with me..we went on the pro-am day..and had a really nice time...we got to meet a few of the players, and liberally enjoyed the superb food and adult beverages at the corporate hospitality tents. Late in the afternoon, we're walking towards the car, and we pass the driving range, and there's Joanne ( Big Mama) Carner by herself, just booming them out dead center. Nobody else is around...We're watching her for about 15 minutes, somewhat in awe...and my friend, who had way too much in the way of adult beverages, finally, in what was a very loud "whisper" said "Holy s**t! Would you looked at the size of the ass on her!" She obviously heard him, yet proceeded to whack the ball on the tee about 300 yds...then turned towards us..I half thought she was coming after him with the driver...but she smiled, and said "Yup! Wanna kiss it?" then went back to hitting balls.
