Fuel supplies. Don’t piss Putin off or there may be a, uh, “disruption” in fuel deliveries to the eu. Blame would probably go to Chechan rebels. Kinda like a “who controls the energy” kind of thing. Hmmmmm. Where have we heard someone talk about energy control before.................

Why are there no protests in Europe and elsewhere against the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

"Protests" target the perpetually guilty, looking for a reason to yield.

Why were 99% of protests in the two Germanys against the US? Why were there no protests in the "third Germany" (now Poland and Russia)?

You don't organize "protests" against a hungry bear. You just don't.

Russian Army maps still have the roads to Berlin highlighted.

No need to protest. They all know Emperor Canigula will put a stop to it in the next century or so.

The history and reality on the ground are 1,000 times more complex than "good Ukrainian freedom fighters vs evil Russian invaders."

For one thing, Russian gas keeps Europe from freezing to death in the winter. A war in Ukraine would be a disaster for Europe.

Reminds me of a quote from Hitler...

Our strength is our quickness and our brutality. Genghis Khan had millions of women and children hunted down and killed, deliberately and with a gay heart. History sees in him only the great founder of States. What the weak Western European civilization alleges about me, does not matter. I have given the order – and will have everyone shot who utters but one word of criticism – that the aim of this war does not consist in reaching certain designated [geographical] lines, but in the enemies' physical elimination. Thus, for the time being only in the east, I put ready my Death's Head units, with the order to kill without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of the Polish race or language. Only thus will we gain the living space that we need. Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?

Keep in mind that Russia's most important, critical, necessary naval bases are in the Crimea, and always have been.

Would we give up Hawaii and our naval bases there if native Hawaiian radicals took over downtown Oahu and ordered us out?

The leader of the free world has gone to bed with the vapours.
As he lays curled up in the fetal position hugging his Nobel Peace prize and sucking his thumb he is consoled by dreams of swinging cuts in the US military.

Do we need to say more about leadership?

It could be worse - Obama could have turned his attention toward “saving” the Ukraine from itself...

Seems quiet out there. Russia invades a country one door down from the EU and crickets from the left. No cries of killing Putin and his family, no signs, No human shields....nothing.

Probably because they have their own problems and helping George Soros and the Oligarchs loot Ukraine is not high on their priority queue.

I heard one radio news report yesterday say that a group (didn’t give a number) of Ukranians were protesting outside the WH gates.

“No cries of killing Putin and his family, no signs, No human shields....nothing.”

OK, I'll wax poetic. I think we are looking at concerned but potentially terrifying dichotomy setting up. Putin has Barry by the balls. Vlad knows that Barry and his minions are no more a threat to him than persistent yipping Yorkies, desperately snapping at his heels.(apologies to small breed owners). Wait until the rest of the modern day dictatorships decide that Vlad shouldn't be the only one having fun with the completely neutered, once mighty USA. The Chinese, North Koreans, Iran will all want in.

The other side of the equation is that the rest of the so called civilized world just realized that the same USA, usually dependable, will not be bailing anyone out of this or saving anyone’s bacon . The Iron Fist and dictators are laughing their butts off, almost pitying Barry and his testicle impaired, clueless pack of miscreants.

May we all live in interesting times. The world is on it's own. Bad Barry has checked out.

The anti-war movement is a fraud, often instigated by Communists. That was the case in WWII (CPUSA members protesting against going to war against Hitler), Korea, Vietnam, Iraq...
