Disturbing video of a police incident in an Oklahoma parking lot shows a man who had committed no crime dying after being roughed up and violently restrained by four cops–all while his grief-stricken wife watched in horror.

The man, 44-year-old Luis Rodriguez, died in a Moore, Oklahoma movie theater parking lot. Police were responding to a reported domestic disturbance. Rodriguez’s wife admitted to slapping the couple’s 19-year-old daughter in the face over a disagreement about the girl’s behavior. Rodriguez, however, was not involved and had not done anything wrong, according to local news reports.

But when police arrived, they wanted to question Rodriguez. According to the Moore police department, Rodriguez was not cooperative, and cops were forced to handcuff and restrain him.

So... if Rodriguez had been polite and respectful to the police than he most likely would still be alive. Sure the police over-reacted and should be punished to the full extent of the law but the situation could have easily been avoided by common sense.

Security camera footage has yet to be released as well, and could shed more light on how Rodriguez died

Yeah, like the costco security cameras that were oddly not working when cops gunned down Erik Scott?

When questioned by cops in a situation like that, one’s response should always be “I have nothing to say.”. And those exact words should be repeated no matter what the cops say or ask. It makes them look foolish and clearly the escelators of the event if something happens.

And if they try to restrain you, let them.

A similar incident happened a few years ago close to where I live: In that case, a man was accused of loitering outside a store. By all accounts, the guy was a regular customer, and the store managers didn’t mind him standing there. But, this time, a police officer happened to be at the store, and when he came walking out, he confronted the guy.

To make a long story short: The officer tried grabbing and pepper spraying the man to arrest him. A few customers came out to help the officer pin the man down. Then backup arrived. As the whole crowd was putting the man into the patrol car, they realized he wasn’t moving. Autopsy results showed that he was killed by asphyxiation.

Fortunately, no cop’s ego was permanently bruised during this incident.

We are seeing more and more of this, and more often than not, it seems as though it is happening to innocent people.

It's because innocent people are starting to object to the treatment, and cops see the objections as "resistance" (their training and steroids tell them so). Cops hate "resistance," so they take it as a license to beat the living carp out of anybody they like, better still if they are killed in the process because dead people cannot sue.

Cops are also trained to see dogs as a threat, so they are simply shooting them on sight. They also see video-cams as a threat, and have tried on numerous occasions to confiscate them, and even destroy them. Not being the brightest creatures on the planet, the videos often survive the attempts to destroy them.

I guess this would be a great way to get rid of that pesky neighbor, if you were dishonest and had no conscience.

"Swatting is the tricking of any emergency service (via such as a 9-1-1 dispatcher) into dispatching an emergency response based on the false report of an on-going critical incident." Wiki Link

Ah yes, the high crime of being uncooperative. And they were "forced" to put him down and handcuff him because being uncooperative is so very dangerous.

These cops acted like a street gang and murdered this man.

There was a man on Utube who was asphyxiated during a traffic stop by two cops. He kept telling them he could not breathe. Then he didn’t.

Every gummint employee is similarly incentivized. Whenever I read a story about a bureaucrat gone wild, they are on paid leave while being investigated.

Unions, my friend. They have unions.

That’s why they’ve taken to dragging the “perp” out of view of their dash-cams, then start screaming things that don’t make sense like “Stop resisting! Stop resisting!!” when witnesses have testified nobody was resisting.

Yes, let's blame the victim.

Had the police followed appropriate procedures he would most likely still be alive.

At least they didn't shoot hundreds of rounds at him and burn him alive like they did the black guy in LA.

Not certain whether he died from their actions or an unrelated health condition?
Answer me this, I jump on a guy for refusing to talk to me. I then hold him down and he dies while I'm on top of him. What will happen to me when the police arrive?
A. Nothing
B. I'll be arrested for murder

Further, will the DA care whether cause of death was asphyxiation, a ruptured aorta, a heart attack, or an aneurysm ? I don't think so, as my action was what led to it.

Yep. Say nothing and comply 100%.

And for pete's sake, keep your hands where they can see 'em. You can never be sure who you're dealing with.

Yea, maybe we should just pass a law that citizens must be polite and respectful to police under any circumstance, and if they are not, they may face death.
