Two police officers are being accused of hitting Robert Jacksons car and then arresting him to cover it up. Surveillance footage shows police cars driving the wrong way down a street and sideswiping the SUV. Officers then exited their vehicles and appeared to search for cameras before arresting Jackson for destruction of city property. . . .
The charges were eventually dropped against Jackson but he had to spend the night in a filthy, overpopulated, rat- and rodent-infested cell, his suit says. The officer who arrested me said if I took care of the expense on my vehicle, they would take care of their vehicle and I wouldnt have gotten arrested, Jackson remembered. He knew he was wrong. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified monetary damages.

We live in a Robin Hood world, but without Robin Hood. But have plenty of Sheriffs of Nottingham and Guys of Guisborne.

Stories like these have made me change my mind about Google Glass. If the Google Glass can record and immediately upload to a safe location it might help deter blatant abuses of power like the one here.
Are these officers still on the job? Oh, right. Unions.

Well, at least the wonderful NYC police officer made it home safely—that’s the important thing.

"Rats and rodents? Is there a difference?"Possibly the former have two legs and the latter four and the author just didn't want to insult the rodents.

I can definitely see a new legal system with very quick results. Something happens on Monday, 12 people are brought into a room on Tuesday and are told, "This incident was witnessed by passers-by and filmed through 4 pairs of Google Glass. You will see all 4 films and then render a verdict either against the police or the citizen, or perhaps neither. You will be able to go on your way as soon as you decide."
Who needs lawyers? Just let citizens render justice.

I would love to have seen a few dozen citizens descend upon the unlawful cops, beat them to a pulp and leave them as ventilated quadriplegics. Sadly, the taxpayers would foot the bill to keep their worthless carcasses alive.

"Sounds to me like they violated his civil rights. They should be put away for misusing their powers and unlawful imprisonment."These corrupt cops can enjoy bending over to pick up soap in prison showers.

This story was told to me by the man it happened to and he had no reason to lie:
Mike was driving north on old 99 in California right after WWII ended and pulled over to grab a snooze. He was in the back seat sleeping, his U.S. Army jacket hanging in the back window of his car as two CHP officers approached and he could hear them talking. One said, "You want to kill him?" and his partner replied, "No, he's a veteran."
Mike said he stayed under his blanket until their car pulled away and never set foot in that state again.
