Remember that video of the plane crash in Hawaii after which Hawaii Health Director Loretta Fuddy "died"?

You need to take a closer look.

BTW, I agree with you that Fuddy died in the aftermath of the plane crash but I also believe there was no conspiracy involved in the crash.

Just to make sure you see this:

ping to #608 where Fred Nerks compares Fuddy’s jacket pattern as seen earlier in the day and then under water...

No, as I explained in the video, we’re looking at different versions of the same few images - first from the bandicam recording and then from direct screenshots which are clearer. But the position of body DOES c parts, etc DOES change between these images. The arms and legs aren’t moving a lot, but why would they need to move a lot when he’s got what appears to be a cloth-style life jacket on and a scuba mask? Stuff that Fuddy did NOT have.

REPOSTED

Fuddy's sleeve from the photo taken on the island. Fuddy's sleeve from the video still on the aircraft. Fuddy's sleeve showing the same pattern (although faint) from the underwater image.

That's a dead Fuddy imo. She's not treading water. If her knees are going up and down, it's from the movement of the water.

I can’t believe that a faint, blurry glimmer of what might be purple is enough for you to throw away that the body size is the wrong type, she’s got a black life jacket on instead of a yellow inflatable one, she’s in the wrong location, the glimmer of purple is in the wrong location to be her shirt, and she’s got goggles and scuba mask.

I’m speechless, to be truthful.

I have to believe my own lying eyes - that's Fuddy, she's got a curved spine and a short neck, her arm is clothed in the white-background purple patterned sleeve, the rest of her upper body is in shadow. The yellow of her lifevest is in front of her, it's fastened across her back as you can see by the yellow extension of the jacket. Her abdominal fat tissue is being forced up into her diaphram because fat rises. Her weight is such that the jacket appears to be barely keeping her face out of water...and the rubber or plastic shoes she's wearing with the thick soles, are so bouyant they are keeping her knees up. Her legs would rise and fall slightly with the movement of the water. That's what my lying eyes tell me.

It's a trick. What you think is her arm is a part of the lifejacket.

Her arm is clothed in the sleeve of the jacket which was a white background with a purple pattern. That arm comes from her shoulder, which shows how short her neck was. Her back has a curvature.

She's not weating anything black, there's simply no light penetrating other than onto that arm.

I can’t believe I’m hearing you say this. Where’d she get the black shirt or life jacket? Where did she get the goggles? The scuba mask? How’d she get over there by the 70ish-yr-old guy instead of right beside Yamamoto holding his hand? Why is her shirt now 95% white and 5% very blurry pale purple?

I just can’t believe that you’re saying that. I don’t understand what’s going on here.

What you’re saying defies everything that’s in front of us.
There’s no black shirt? There just isn’t any color there?

You’re not making any sense, Fred.

Sorry, I’m unable to explain it any better. You are simply not seeing her ARM, you must be seeing that part of the yellow jacket which continues around the back, as an arm. Until you see her arm as one item, and the total yellow jacket front and across her back as another item, you’ll never see what I see.

How would you expect her jacket to stay on if it wasn’t fastened across her back? The yellow lifevest is clearly visible near her face. If it wasn’t fastened to her body, it would never keep her head above water, which, because of her weight, it barely does.

See how the vest is comprised of more than the flotation cells on either side of the front? The vest itself carries on underneath the arms, and thus it has to appear across the back as well. If it wasn't fastened that way, it would simply rise and float away over the top of the head of the wearer...the only thing I can't know for sure, is what colour the back of the jacket might be, but looking at Fuddy's jacket, it's yellow all the way.

Having now hunted high and low in an attempt to find out what those jackets looked like from the back, and coming up empty, I did the Google thing and there are so many makes and models, there’s nothing to be gained from that exercise either.
So if neither of us can find an image of one of the survivors from the back with their jacket showing - all that’s left for me to say is, she was wearing the long sleeved garment that’s a white background with a purple pattern while she was on the aircraft, and one can assume she was still wearing it when she stepped off the steps into the water, so the arm showing would still be wearing the jacket.
And that’s what the video still seems to show.

I looked at that, but that jacket appears to be a lot longer in front than those showing on the surface...

Butter, it’s either her arm still wearing the sleeve of her white background purple-patterned garment, or it’s not.

Your example, on enlargement does appear to be showing a strap of some kind but it’s vertical, not horizontal. There’s no way of knowing if that person is now wearing the same jacket he was rescued in.

Your question was What do you see?

I’ve tried to answer in more detail than most.

ok, so let someone else chime in. There must be more pairs of eyes than just the two of us.

“Where did she get the goggles? The scuba mask?”

I did not see goggles or a scuba mask in any image. You state that they are there as though it is so obvious that you don’t seem to believe that others don’t see the same thing as you do. Several FReepers claiming to be experienced divers do not seem to see goggles or a scuba mask anywhere in the stills.

If you point me to the specific comment or comments in this thread where you believe you see goggles and a scuba mask I will take another look.

Mind you, I am not a diver.

Is there a time index for the frame shown in post 626? The video likely provides informative context.
