The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.
No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. There is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
NOTE: This is a once a week ping list. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest are welcomed, so feel free to post them at any time.
Something I picked up during 3 marriages.

I am partial to Baker Creed Seeds - their headquarters are in Missouri. Bountiful Gardens is also worth a look.
The proper reaction to seed catalogs is to drool!LOL
I need to get back to the cabinet cleaning and organizing. Everything is a big mess right now and needs a good cleaning.
Some things are best learned from experience?
My parsely overwintered just fine in the winter of 2012.
My grandfather was completely deaf in one ear. Working around equipment in a tire factory in the 30’s damaged the hearing in both ears but he was totally deaf in one. He was 4f’d due to this. All my life he wore hearing aids. When us grandkids got rowdy he’d just literally tune us out.
Peppers don’t need to be pollinated, but tomatoes do. Lemons also need pollinate I think. That’s all the fruit I grow indoors. Spinach, herbs, lettuce etc. are just grown for leaves.
Thanks, greeneyes!
OH thanks! That is encouraging...especially in light of the blizzard that is due in the coming hours!
