Bode Miller had just tied for a bronze medal in the mens super-G at the Olympics in Sochi, Russia, on Sunday and it was time to be interviewed. NBC had already established Millers quest as an emotional story line, putting a microphone on his wife, Morgan, to hear her reactions to his races, and having the couple sit for an interview with Tom Brokaw. He was being humanized as the changed man, the family man, the mature 36-year-old whose brother had died last year.

As Austin Powers might say - That ain’t a man, baby.
What a freak.
Chicolympics? I agree.
Well, she did try to comfort him. She put her hand on his shoulder.

Reporters are typically insensitive. All they care is that they get a story. If they get a display of emotion, all the better for their ratings.
They are disgusting. Fortunately, with DVR we are able to avoid this kind of stuff. We have not watched any interviews, with the exception of part of the interview with the USA hockey player who scored the winning goal against the Russian team.
I hope the chick loses her job over it....

No way that’s going to happen. In that disgusting business, she will be praised for this. Glad I did not watch the interview.
I am soooooo surprised Bode, having somewhat of an ego, did not tell this beotch where to go and walk off. He does not have to submit to this abuse.
It’s been Bode, Bode, Bode for sixteen years or something. Did anyone notice a young man from Lake Placid, NY won the silver, dropping Bode to share the bronze?
That could have been a story, but it wasn’t part of the narrative. His NBC newschick sneered that he only produces in the Olympics (this was his second silver), but is nowhereville otherwise. He’s already down the memory hole. He never met the criteria to have an adoring advance “package,” with a suitably tragic story line.
Silver Man is probably normal.
Well, isn’t this the standard for good journalism these days, make yourself bigger than the story you’re covering?
yes, i am... so are others in our household... not all of it... just my faves... speed skating/men and women, the luge competitions/men and women, some of the ski competitions... some of the men's snowboarding competitions... no figure skating this time... just not enough time... this time i am open to curling--men and women...
NBC Freak Show... how anyone could take NBC seriously ever again is beyond me. Allowing/condoning that little freak to broadcast during the Olympics dressed like that is disgusting.
Certainly seems like its the chick Olympics. Every day prime time is chick sports. They’ll show ladies curling before any mens sports.
Absolutely. She may have been parroting questions given to her by ear bud. In that case, the person giving the questions should also be fired.
Like other decent people on this thread, I had to change the channel for the uncomfortable intrusiveness of the insensitive questions.
The arrogance of MSM in its efforts to manipulate the psyche of its viewers.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
NBC is a Comcast/GE property, all you subscribers and buyers.
Good point.
Same with Mrs Bode Miller. She was miked up and offering constant commentary. I haven’t seen that with the spouse of any other athlete.
It was deliberate rape.
"That's Hedley!"
LOL Q.
I think Johnny should just go ahead with the sex change and get it over with.
Blazing Saddles!
