Wouldn’t mind it a bit. Jesse was portrayed as old and ugly as well as mean. The press didn’t have to try too hard. Cruz is a good looking fella.

Hell naw. Helms was a legend. I remember his epic campaign against the token black candidate, that all the leftist NY Times media swooned over. That ad of his with the guy crumpling those papers caused liberal’s heads to explode louder than Nagasaki.

I say no way.
Will be interested to see people’s responses however.
Cruz in my opinion is potentially the leader/co-leader of a renewed GOP. Or perhaps a renewed conservative party, outside the GOP.
The GOP is more disappointing, by the day.

Also Helm’s takedown of the UN...in front of the UN.
To: US Navy Vet
This sounds like a Dem/GOPe talking point. Screw them. Cruz is a hero.

WE have seen Ted Cruz KNEELING in prayer in the front of the White House.
We have seen Ted Cruz STANDING all night, and all alone against Obamacare.
WE have seen Ted Cruz SITTING, while others applauded revealing their soullessness, and utter contempt for the American people.
In each instance Ted Cruz was alone in his statesmanship decorum.
TRUTH in a decadent day usually stands alone.
Those who are standing, and applauding are what our founders feared.
Ted Cruz is what our founders dreamed of.

I think Ted Cruz is the modern LBJ--NOT in terms of ideology, but in terms of style, a paradoxical combination of hard-nosed grit and down-home likeability. My impression, in terms of image, is that Rand Paul is confrontational without being particularly likeable, and Mike Lee is likeable without being particularly confrontational, but Cruz is the closest thing to a perfect balance of both--as was Ronald Reagan in his day.

No. In short, Helms had a plan (whether you agreed with it or not). He was always working to that end goal. Cruz just rolls grenades in a room. While I’m all about shaking things up, that’s all he’s about. He’s not a leader and has no plan short of the moment. I know it is not the majority opinion here, but I am singularly unimpressed with Cruz. He’s way too frat-boy.
To: US Navy Vet
No! Cruz is CRUZ! He has his own place in history and it’s only just begun! I was proud to help elect him. He’s a breath of fresh air in that cesspool of DC...
