The Obama administration heaped praise on the world’s largest solar thermal power facility, which began sending energy to customers in California on Thursday.
The 392 megawatt Ivanpah solar facility was hailed as a grand achievement, but the administration neglected delivering solar power to consumers is much more expensive than coal.
The Ivanpah solar thermal facility in California’s Mojave Desert is the largest in the world, but it comes with a high cost. To start, the facility received $1.6 billion in loan guarantees from the Obama administration in 2011 — about 73 percent of the project’s total costs, according to BrightSource Energy. Ivanpah is part of President Obama’s plan to push more green energy use to take on global warming.

The installation seems so relevant. Three large towers, phallic symbols, screwing the American people!
The real number is a lot more than 161%. The true cost of solar power is 10 to 20 times the incremental cost of the coal power it replaces.

If you’re going to successfully destroy America, you have to take the people’s money away from them and get them to writing poetry and learning how to play the guitar. Well, I hate poetry and learned how to play the guitar while I was still working full time jobs. Of course, I am “old school” and I’m able to “multitask”.
LOL! Per the administration.......seasonably adjusted numbers, revised numbers, unexpected numbers, surprise numbers, greater than previously predicted...........

LOL! I learned to play guitar WAYYYY before every Tom, Dick and Jane on every street corner did(and most of them way better than me). So, that musta been a long time ago.
It would be funny if rising prices were not literally destroying people’s lives.
I did pretty good back in the 60s playing in a decent “garage band”. Switched over to country in the 70s. I didn’t learn to play in order to “chase my dream.” I learned to play for the bucks. LOL!

But, but, but... we get all those dead, fried birds as a food source. What’s not to like?
That 161% assumes 100% effeciency. In reality it is 10% effecient. The math works out to..
161%/10% = necessarily skyrocket
It’s a LOT worse than that. They’re padding the numbers, and they still can’t come even close.
