So I was involved in a philosophical discussion with a friend and the subject came up where they wondered what is the difference between a Religion and a Cult.
Thinking about it I came up with a easy way to tell the difference between the two.
Here it is: A Religion that doesn't let a member of it become an apostate of that Religion without any sort of harassment, injury or death is by definition not a Religion but is indeed a Cult. Also if the Religion in question forces or coerces a member of the family to distance them selves from other member who are not believers, it is also a Cult.
So basically to be a Religion one must:
1. Be able to leave it without any sort of harassment. 2. Should not force you to leave or distance yourself from your non-believer family members
:)
I thought of that scripture...
but since it is in the Bible for Christians only and doesn’t apply to Mormons...
don’t the Mormons have one in Michigan ???
even after all those years of a Mormon governor ???
We had a big snow on Wednesday...8 inches ..
My power was of until about 5AM this morning..
Global warming city...
:)
Got 6-8 inches this week. Getting light rain showers now, temp at 40. Prediction is for light snow over night. No real melting until Sunday and MOnday. My driveway melted down today to reveal blacktop. But the rain and run-off will be icing and snow atop that tonight.
“I have been to Washington DC, Boston, MA, NYC, and the Detroit, MI Temple.”
Oh, yeah. You’re in a cult, if it adds things to New Testament Church instructions.
Temples are not for Christianity. Christians are temples.
Get out while you can.
I have been to Washington DC, Boston, MA, NYC, and the Detroit, MI Temple.

That I most likely true in your case!
You are most correct. It definitely means to continue to trust Him.
God bless!
Nailed it
Were you allowed INSIDE?
How many hours total?
Being out in the so-called boonies gave me an early experience with a flaky power supply. After a couple of LONG outages, I bought a generator that can handle most of the house appliances. It’s even handy for other things, too.
I ended up with a total of 5” last night.
Just looked, and we got about 1/2 -1” over night...
From about 8PM Wednesday to 5AM Friday ...
The power came back on for short spurts of about 15 minutes a couple of times Wednesday night ...
When the power goes off my Internet setup has a battery that beeps every 45 seconds and keeps me awake so I was lying awake when the power came back on for a short time at midnight..the computer stopped beeping..
My furnace is propane, but ALL of them require electricity to power the blower!
The other day when the PROPANE froze up (the pressure regulator got snow packed into it) I kept rotating colder and colder air through the house...
I have a kerosene heater out in the barn but I haven’t used it in yeas..
Yeah. Who wants to stink up the house?
We got rain, off and on until around ten this morning. Now the sun is our, very bright, and the remaining snow is rapidly joining the ground water. Spring should be very productive!
I have been to Washington DC, Boston, MA, NYC, and the Detroit, MI Temple.
Why would I go to Indiana

Because like the other Mormon temples, if you want to see the inside, you need to go early and take the public tour before it is closed for time and eternity to anyone who doesn’t have a temple recommend...
Also if you wanted to see the inside of the Gilbert, AZ temple its too late...
The public tours for Mormons without temple recommends and others ended today Feb 15..
but during a 15 minute tour just how much can you see anyway ???
Ive never seen all of Disneyland in 15 minutes ...I usually stayed for hours...
Everything that matters?
No you get hurried past the bits that might prompt awkward questions...
There are NO awkward questions: only awkward answers...
