Andorians on Star Trek have four genders (zhen, shen, chan, and thaan). I should tell them I mentally FEEL Andorian and feel discriminated against since there's no "thaan" option.

What about me? I'm a chan trapped in a thaan's body. Trans-chan! Not to be confused with Charlie Chan.

Seriously most of those "options" are different words for the same thing. And I thought the whole point of the "trans" thing was to be the other sex? So wouldn't a guy who's had genital surgery want to click "female" rather than some third option?

"Cisgender" is funny, that's a word they made up to mean men and woman who AREN'T transomthing.

Ah, liberals gone wild. It's funny how all the "Cis" designations all just mean "normal". Facebook doesn't even need 58 gender designations to pander to gays. Every gay man I've met was born a man and still identifies as one, and all the lesbians I've met are the same way with their feminine identity. Probably less than 0.1% of the population ever "questions" their biological gender and needs one of the 58 terms to use instead.

When I think about it, those four gendered Andorians just probably wouldn't be diverse enough OR inclusive enough to meet liberals approval:

The Andorian and Aenar species are unusual in that there are four distinct Andorian and Aenar sexes, and a union between all four sexes, an act known as the shelthreth, is required for procreation.

In the primary Andorian language, known as Andorii, the distinctions are as follows:

zhen - This sex roughly corresponds to female, and is the sex of the Andorian who will carry the zygote to term.
shen - This sex also roughly corresponds to female and is where all Andorian life originates. Although the zhen carries the infant, the child begins as gametes from the shen.

Reproductive process

The gametes of each "male" sex contain one quarter of the number of chromosomes necessary to produce offspring. During the conception of an Andorian child, the thaan fertilizes a shen's egg with his gamete. The chan then also fertilizes the egg. This produces a fertilized egg that develops into a zygote. The shen then transfers the zygote to the zhen's pouch, where it develops into an embryo. The Andorian fetus is incubated and nourished to term in the zhen's pouch. The zhen does not contribute genetically to offspring.

Two of the sexes, thaan and chan are approximately masculine, and the other two genders, zhen and shen, are approximately feminine. Andorians and Aenar accept the terms "male" and "female", and the pronouns "she/her" and "he/him", while dealing with binary-gendered species. (DS9 novel: Avatar)

In summery, my guess is even the Andorians decide a Trans-Chan has mental problems and needs therapy. No Thaans in a Chan restroom!

Just because HE had Subtractadickfromme surgery and silicone boobs added doesn’t change the internal biology...

They can make up any little fantasyland they want to, but reality is what it is...
