EXCLUSIVE: Paramount is negotiating with 3 Arts Entertainment to acquire the film rights to the forthcoming book Thirteen Hours: A Firsthand Account Of What Really Happened In Benghazi. The book, scheduled for publication in late spring, was written by author Mitchell Zuckoff with surviving members of the Annex Security Team who fought the battle. Their names are being kept confidential. The book is going to be published by Twelve, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group, with Editorial Director Sean Desmond editing.
The script will be written by Chuck Hogan, whose novel Prince Of Thieves became the Ben Affleck-directed The Town and who teamed with Guillermo del Toro to write the vampire novel trilogy The Strain which is being turned into a series by FX. Erwin Stoff will produce, and Richard Abate is executive producer. Stoff is producing the upcoming Unbroken and Edge Of Tomorrow.
Relying on the security team’s exclusive firsthand accounts, Thirteen Hours presents a nonfiction narrative of the attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA Annex in Benghazi on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11. Four Americans were killed in the attack, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. Security team members whose actions are recounted in the book and who will be featured in the film have been honored by the U.S. State Department and the CIA for their heroism. Zuckoff wrote the bestsellers Frozen In Time: An Epic Story Of Survival And A Modern Quest For Lost Heroes Of World War II and Lost In Shangri-La: A True Story Of Survival, Adventure, And The Most Incredible Rescue Mission Of World War II.
The book and producing deals are being made by CAA and Hogan is repped by WME.
Imagine an alternate, “Lone Survivor”:
The key is they have bad radio communication, right?
Naw, in THIS version, all while as our guys are getting shot and throwing themselves off cliffs, they have PERFECT radio coms with friendly forces, and NO RESCUE.
THEN two drones show up:
The drones then provide the White House and Joint Chiefs of Staff perfect, real-time VIDEO of RPG’s showering the men’s defensive firing positions.
Again with them getting their fingers shot off, gut shots, etc.
And the Prez —fully witting of all— goes to SLEEP, the better to wake up the next morning to fly off to Vegas golf with a RAPPER.
AND STILL no rescue.
And the very gradual killing goes on and on, over the course of EIGHT HOURS, with ALL four guys dead.
AND NO RESCUE.
Turn that over in your mind.
Something very key here should give you a bad feeling about this:
If the technical advisors for this film were the actual Annex CIA people there, then HOW could this film end up as ANYTHING other than a political tool of The Establishment?
These CIA people were the ones who re-signed all those NDA’s.
These CIA people were the ones who legally changed their names.
These CIA people were the ones who moved all around the country and overseas, the better to remain inaccessible.
Nothing against them, no, but given THAT level of dedication to orders, are we REALLY to believe there will be ANY truth zingers AT ALL in this film...?
Covering fire provided by Hillary, Brennan will bayonet 50 of the attackers, and the dust-off chopper will feature a smiling, thumbs-upping, flight-helmeted GayMuzzie in the right seat.
That is horrible, but it happened.
The only speculation that I would add is did anyone feed the drone Intel to the enemy attacking those positions? Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised.

And where is Hollywood antiMcCarthy outrage when Obama is sueing Dnesh for a critical film. Maybe Holywood should make a movie about IRS harassment with NSA asset surveillance strings.

Unfortunately, I think you are dead on right.
Why would hollyweird make a movie that makes their heroes look bad? How could they get first hand accounts unless they contact the survivors? Aren’t they being kept under wraps to keep the truth tamped down? The liberal machine has already picked Hillary as their next president and won’t do anything to damage her image.
