The Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. Diarmuid Martin, has said that some people in the Catholic Church may be homophobic.
The teaching of the church could be used “in a homophobic way”, he told RTE.
He said that the Church had to be very careful that this was not done in the forthcoming debate on the same-sex referendum. […]

When you point out that homosexuality is a sin under the Mosaic Law and the Catholic Church doctrine, that isn’t homophobic. It’s just facts. We call murderers murderers, and adulterers adulterers, and liars liars, and thieves thieves. It is what it is. We don’t hate homosexuals, nor do we have homosexual feelings (Another left wing lie). Lets look at this rationally. Root canals are painful. I don’t like them, I don’t think people should have to endure them. That doesn’t mean i secretly desire one

I am preaching to a choir, but really, homophobic means FEAR of homosexuals. No one fears them. It is an abomination of the English language to create a connotation for a word that means something quite different. The insidiousness of this all is that the “fear” part is a perceived emotion people who are in favor of normalizing homosexuality attribute to anyone who does not agree with them.
Makes you wonder about the speaker.
