Texas Democrats have fiercely defended their gubernatorial candidate, Wendy Davis, through a scandal in which the state senator was caught lying about her status as a single mother and about paying for her own education. However, now that Davis is supporting open carry laws, Democrats and gun control groups are shying away.

I added humor to the topics list cause you just can't make this stuff up. The gift that keeps on giving. Kinda like sandra fluke(fluck) and her absurdities. I'm thinkin' maybe wendy put the catheter in a little to far.

Democrats always run to the center when they seek office. Even Obama did it.

It is nice to have an inept candidate in the other party for a change. I can’t wait to see Wendy go down in flames at the polls.

Saul Alinsky invented the concept of dog whistles. Having frequently used the concept themselves the Democrats frequently accuse Republicans of the same. The idea is to send a coded signal that only your side understands. That way you can pretend to support something but your side will understand that you dont . I think supporting open carry was an attempt on her part to use a dog whistle, but shes too politically uninformed to do it correctly. So, she has alienated both sides. Very foolish. Very amateur.

and temporarily pro-gun to boot Kinda like her pro-life democrat stance when she first ran for office?

She’s seems to have fired so many rounds in to her feet that one would almost(I said almost) think she was a republicrat.

In Houston the "Republican" DA was against people carrying guns in their cars even though the legislature approved it. He even said he would prosecute anyone he caught that way and let it get challenged to the state Supreme Court.
He's out of work now (run out of office because of a "sex scandal" affair and some "racist" jokes about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson's racism).

He's also the one who didn't CARE about the state same sex sodomy law and handed it to the homos when he "argued" the Lawrence v. Texas case.
