Saul Alinsky invented the concept of dog whistles. Having frequently used the concept themselves the Democrats frequently accuse Republicans of the same. The idea is to send a coded signal that only your side understands. That way you can pretend to support something but your side will understand that you don’t . I think supporting open carry was an attempt on her part to use a dog whistle, but she’s too politically uninformed to do it correctly. So, she has alienated both sides. Very foolish. Very amateur.
