Tonight is the "State of the Union" address. It is widely anticipated that Barack Hussein Obama will steer clear of the fiasco that is known as "Obamacare" and choose to focus instead on raising the minimum wage "for working families" (cough, hack..) and on legalizing more than 11 million criminal illegal aliens who violated our laws when they entered this country.
We cannot allow Obama to lie to the American people again without making our own thoughts and opinions known.
Our discontent with the current occupant of the White House must be expressed in a peaceful way that draws attention to the wide disapproval of this President.
Social Media campaigns are a great way to do that, especially since the Obama Administration pays so close attention to sources such as Twitter, FaceBook - and lets face it -- they mine our cellphone, web, text and other data that they illegally steal every day.
Tonight, let's let them hear it. The AmericanSpring movement here on FR is today announcing our Twitter Campaign which will run during the State of the Union address.
Our Twitter Campaign will be a coordinated effort with you, Free Republic. We are asking those of you with Twitter Accounts to subscribe to our "AmericanSpring2014" account and help us re-tweet the messages we will be sending during the State of the Union address.
We have 35 messages that we'll be sending in direct response to the President's State of the Union Address. Our goal is to "blow up" the Twitter Universe with those messages.
Our Account, AmericanSpring2014 will use the #StateOfTheCoup hashtag after each tweet. We will also be cross-pollinating the #SOTU hashtag that has already been setup on Twitter, presumably by the White House or someone associated with it.
Please join us tonight in this coordinated campaign against the State of the Union propaganda - and let freedom of speech reign!
I hear he’s also a pretty good shot.
Marking for later :)
Liked it and put it in the Twitterverse with the StateoftheCoup hashtag. Follow me @TamePudden
You first is just fine. You earned it, you were the first to ask. It just looked weird, my name out in front like that.
;^)
I love you both equally, no matter the order of your names.
The bowel movement known as Obama is going to read another useless speech where he blames everyone but himself?
Just can’t get interested in that.
YOU GET ME... I love that. :)
But I love you with all my heart. And I have to admit that you give really good hugs.
Cue 70's porn music.
Laz is pretty good at everything. He is a wise man, tempered by
the fires of experience a lot of people just have not been through..
I am delighted that we are friends.
It’s your list, so it’s your call, old buddy. As long as I get pinged....
:^)
Too bad that’s too long for a tweet. Great reminder of 0’s double-speak hypocrisy.
Too long for a tweet, however "Punxatawney Phil Has a Better Track Record Than Obama" fits (and says the same thing..)
thanks for the tweet idea!
Yep!
I also just added "Minimum wage hike for federal workers doesn't help burger flippers!"
The White House pays attention to Social Media. Do you want to voice your displeasure with us? :-)
ROFL! LOVEIT!
Punxatawney Phil Has a Better Track Record Than Obama
May I “tweet” the above?
I’m in! @livywell
Nice job!
By all means, join in the fun! Get your friends and family to help too!
LOL! This, sir, is why I write. If I had not been working, I would be the writer today. :^)
It is this: Punctuation matters.
Do you want to voice your displeasure with us? :-) ... is taken to mean, "Do you want to voice your displeasure --displeasure about us -- to an audience?">
However, if you insert one comma, it changes the meaning.
Do you want to voice your displeasure, with us? :-) ... is taken to mean, "Do you want to voice your displeasure about a topic, in concert and alongside us?"
:^)
