Easter candy out on Dec. 27?
That's 116 days before the holiday.
That is literally the same as putting Halloween candy out for sale on July 9th.
...
Which I totally expect to happen.

Too soon? Shoppers horrified by Easter creep Perhaps they are just afraid of the arrival of final justice.

I’m not sure if it’s Holiday ‘Creep’ or a more visible sign that ‘Retail’ is in really tough straits and is looking for every dollar they can get to save themselves... and their stores.

If I were Emperor of America, we’d have 2 seasons. Easter and Christmas :-)

If people don’t like capitalism TOUGH. Stores can do as they please. So sick of cry babies. If they don’t like it, open their own dang store. I will agree that before Valentine’s Day is interesting but I guess they will sell both for awhile.

What has me frightened is that Sam Adams already has their "Spring Thaw" variety 12-pack on the shelves. I still have snow on the ground and I'm working on a refrigerator full of Winter Lagers and Old Fezziwigs.

There was a narrow column of Christmas items up at the end of September in place as they started to fill the aisles for Halloween.
Retailers are desperate for sales, so they latch onto any holiday that can generate income.

I saw Reese’s and Cadbury eggs in the grocery on New Year’s Day. Valentine’s were out the day after Christmas.

They still have “Easter” candy? I thought it was all “spring” candy now.

My local grocery store has Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s and Easter displays already — went up right after Christmas.
I teach crafts so in a crafts store it is normal to see “Christmas in July” because crafters like to start 6 months before the holiday. Halloween usually appears around July or August, Valentine’s Day even before Christmas.
But, I too am seeing this in other stores. Pretty soon, ALL the holidays will be displayed all year round.
