Apparently unretouched photographs of Lena Dunham's Vogue shoot have revealed exactly how much the fashion glossy airbrushed the star. The pre-Photoshop images, acquired by Jezebel today, show how the Girls creator's jawline has been narrowed, her waistline slimmed and even smile lines removed. An image of the 27-year-old star seated on the edge of a bathtub in a Dolce & Gabbana dress demonstrates these changes to greatest effect.

Amazing how a show that draws around a million viewers gets all this publicity. But our betters living in the Northeast Corridor and California coast like it so we should too.

What’s surprising to me is how little they altered it. She’s got more meat on her than the usual models that are more like just a bag of forks. They left it mostly intact.
