So signing Mark Sanchez to a 3 year extension with $20 MM guaranteed was not the first on your list Mr. Tannenbaum ?

It wasn’t the trade, it was the bumbling after the trade. They let Tebow rot on the bench instead of weaving him into an otherwise pathetic offense. I am not saying he should have been the starting QB, but they could have used him creatively and won more games. Frankly, he probably was a better option than Sanchez, but with the money they dumped into Sanchez, he probably wasn’t going to sit on the bench.

"Obviously we made a couple mistakes,"

an understatement ...

"trading for Tim Tebow most notably."

That was not the mistake knucklehead ...

then proceeded to use him in no discernibly logical fashion whatsoever.

That was the mistake ...

The Jets dealt a fourth- and sixth-round pick to Denver to get Tebow in March 2012, and then proceeded to use him in no discernibly logical fashion whatsoever.

Oh yeah, those two picks would have netted TWO great QBs and he could have been wearing Superbowl rings by now! Tannenbaum is an idiot blaming Tebow for his own ineptitude.

As a Denver fan, I remember how peeved I was at losing Tebow for Manning. Today - of course - I’m a Manning-bot. Ha!

If this clown Tannenbaum knew what he was doing, he’d still be with the Jets.

The Jets organization was bullied by the bigots in the sports media into not giving Tebow a fair shot; and they’re not alone.

Tebow is radioactive for no other reason than he is a proud Christian.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum, the man who traded for Tim Tebow, is now looking back on his career in New York. He's expressing some regrets, and guess who's right at the top? "Obviously we made a couple mistakes," Tannenbaum told CBS Sports Radio, "trading for Tim Tebow most notably." The Jets dealt a fourth- and sixth-round pick to Denver to get Tebow in March 2012, and then proceeded to use him in no discernibly logical fashion whatsoever.

Tannenbaum and Elway ruined his career, IMO.

LOL.

Seeing as how The Jets haven't won a Super Bowl since 1969 (or thereabouts), I'm inclined to think their GM has made more than just that one mistake.

I would agree that trading for Tebow was not his only quarterback mistake.

According to Cold Hard Football Facts, extrapolating from Tebow’s limited use, he was by far the best QB per QB rating that the Jets had (but didn’t use).

Tebow has the worst arm of any QB I can remember. He can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Otherwise, he seems like a great guy.

It’s funny how no one seems to remember or want to point out that Denver dumped the 2011 starter after having lost 4 out of 5 games to start the season.

Tebow lost 4 out of 5 of his last starts.

Folks wanted Orton’s head on a pike for his lack of production.

they grabbed Tebow to undermine his career. it’s extremely obvious their ideology drove them to attack Tebow and his beliefs the only way they could

They wouldn’t let him play. It seems like it was done deliberately.

I bet the Denver Broncos regret getting rid of Tebow.
