Reviewing the book years ago and knowing a movie was coming, I didnt dream that a respected critic would admit the account was factual and call it implausible in the same breath.

Oh yeah. "Respected" critic? Respected by who? Uh, not thinkin' I have any respect for any of the many so called critics out there. aka; asshats.
Because they typically have so little of that stuff in themselves.
Most democrats hate the military...they think they can talk their way out of any situation....like they lie their way into office!!!
Leftists only see courage in people like Woodward and Bernstein for bringing down a sitting American Republican President. Leftists can say with a straight face things like “it took a lot of courage to admit he was a coward”.
I can remember opening my eyes to the brightest light I had ever seen. My first thought was that I was dead. Within a nanosecond I felt the most excruciating pain a human can feel and a sound came out of me that I never imagined a human being could make.
My NEXT thought was, “Thank You, G-d,” because feeling the pain was proof I was alive. No one that hasn’t been through it can possibly make a judgement about it. It’s completely dishonest and those who do this and cast aspursions cannot possibly be taken seriously.
I was glad to see Marcus Luttrell school Jake Tapper in that interview on TV. I can’t even imagine some idiot looking you in the eye and saying your buddies deaths were senseless.
One of the morning personalities on the country radio station in PHILADELPHIA reported that even though she had a ticket to see the movie, there were no seats available and people were even sitting on the floor to see it.
I already start to cry when I think about what these men endure; I don’t think I can handle watching the movie. But I think I will encourage several young men who spend hours per day playing Call of Duty etc to go see it to glimpse what real heroism is about.
Hating on?
My only disagreement with the review. I thought the author was pretty clear that the reason they did not kill the shepherds that reported them to the bad guys was that they were concerned about the ROE if they were wrong. It was fear of being attacked by one’s own service for making the wrong unknown choice. Not that they were compassionate sweeties.
not completely true. IIRC, in the book one of them say something to the effect of, “i didn’t come over here to kill kids”. I think both aspects were part of the decision process.
I guess I remember that, but I was under the impression that if the ROE were different, they would not have been having that conversation.
Jake Tapper demonstrated this fact quite clearly during an interview.
Saw the movie yesterday and started reading the ebook hours after we got home. Great movie, if you haven’t seen it go and take your teenagers. Talk about role models........ WOW.
Lib terminology.
