First, we have the basic Hawaiian shirt (I have about 6 nice ones—take your time, find an expensive one on clearance—you can tell the good ones by the buttons and the quality of the material).

Second the open Hawaii shirt over a tucked tee, using IWB Sparks Summer Special, spare mag in a Buck knife leather pouch. Fits a single stack (1911) just fine, looks like I'm just carrying a folder when I expose it using my cell phone.
Of course the Hawaii shirt helps to prevent printing.

Good thing about better quality shirts is they're heavier, and since a good concealed draw is a Texas Two Step - sweep shirt back, then draw weapon - the heavier shirt has enough inertia to swing back out of the way.
A cheep, thin shirt just flops and gets in the way of the draw.

One thing about carrying... I moved my cell phone clip/holster from right side to left and got used to using the phone with my left hand. This is in case I ever find myself with a handful of 1911 and need to call 911 with the other hand.

Mr. GG2 dons ye old plaid flannel shirt over a regular shirt or seater in winter and a lightweight tactical shirt under a short sleeve columbia fishing shirt in summer.

I like the 5.11 canvas weight cargo pants. I’ve had a pair that are still in decent shape after over 5 years.

I cut the tags off just to be a little less conspicuous.

Light Spring jacket, one size too large.

I’m always between an L and an XL, so the XL jacket both conceals and clears easily for access, when wearing unzipped.

“Front pocket holster of course.”

I was loving my front pocket holster for my LCP. Then I realized whenever I sat down it was pointing at the person sitting across the table from me. I couldn’t get comfortable with that. Also became aware it was totally inaccessible while seated. Now it’s IWB. The pocket holster is still good for a summertime stroll.

It’s still my favorite even if it isn’t the best for some circumstance, but then neither is the LCP. There are times a Glock 30 in a WB, and two extra mags are more appropriate.

“IWB hoster and soon dual mag pouch”

I had a hard time finding a dual mag pouch for my Taurus 709 until the clerk looked at the mags and brought out a MOLLE mini first aid pouch. It fit two mags perfectly and has elastic bands on the inside to keep them from rattling around, and the rubberized straps on the back keep it from accidentally slipping out of a pocket. It fits in most shirt pockets, so I don’t have to keep it on my belt with my IWB holster. Nothing like a hidden holster with exposed mag pouches.

“...MOLLE mini first aid pouch. It fit two mags perfectly and has elastic bands on the inside to keep them from rattling around, and the rubberized straps on the back keep it from accidentally slipping out of a pocket...”

“...Nothing like a hidden holster with exposed mag pouches....”

The pouch sounds like a great option. Inconspicuous and quiet. Currently using a clip on pancake type dual mag pouch. Both weapon and mags are at 1600 and 2000 respectively. The next will be a homemade IWB mag pouch that will give more options on outerwear.

Absolutely correct re the exposed mag pouches....!

Cheers,
KYPD

True, that! My IWB has also encouraged me to move up to a S&W MP Shield in .40 for some outings. Just something about one that starts with a .4
