Teaching a child racial epithets isnt a crime, but it can lead to your children being taken from you.
A police union in Nebraska has posted a video of a toddler using the N-word and a slew of profanities while arguing with adults over a toppled chair, reports CNN, who, unlike police, has blurred the face of the child. The kid even knows how to shoot a bird.
The toddler and three other children were taken from the home Wednesday by Omaha police and Nebraska Child Protective Services.
The police union, who says it got the video from a local thugs Facebook page, posted the video on its website to highlight what it called the cycle of violence and thuggery the community faces, reports CNN

Why? It was okay for Spielberg to do in E.T.
THATS IT!

What else would it be? Prudential judgments are based on facts and circumstances, like a trial. The government can err by being lax or harsh in its determination of parental fitness, but in principle, the government is the parent of last resort.
I wondered if anyone would see what I did there.
Lolol
I wonder what MSNBC would say about giving the kid to the Romney family.
cycle of violence and thuggery
So many opinions here pro and con but would you want your child in the same classroom as this kid? Would you want to be a teacher of that class or be in the next seat in the class? Would you want to principal of that school?
This kid is already destroyed and will soon be either dead or in prison but if AG Holder will probably accuse this school of targeting minorities.
I believe you are, and yes, it does seem arbitrary.
How far do they want to take this? Is teaching your child about Jesus going to eventually be grounds for removing them?
“Is teaching your child about Jesus going to eventually be grounds for removing them?”
Yes, exactly. Look at what has happened Germany and one of the Scando countries (I think Sweden, but I’m not sure) to homeschoolers. And I don’t think there’s been any allegation that those people were teaching their kids wacky stuff.
Feed, house, clothe, don’t beat them, reading, writing, arithmetic; other than that, I’m not sure who is to judge.

Neither, do I. I understand well that a lot -- too many -- children grow up in unspeakable conditions, but once the government can take them away, then it's no stretch that they'll come after ours. Smoking in the home, toddler escapes onto the sidewalk, you're Republican. Any excuse will do.
I can’t say I agree with you there. If I had a daughter I would clearly tell her that the chances of winding up a single mother are extremely high if she dates black men, and I would clearly tell her that I don’t want that future for her.
“”Omahas police chief, the ACLU, and community organizers are not happy the video was posted”
Blame it whomever posted it to facebook. Once it’s out there, it’s open season.
“Smoking in the home...”
Excellent example.
As horrible as this case is, it does very much concern me that the state has the power to take children away from their parents simply because it does not approve of the language that the parents are using/teaching.
When I was 10 or 11 my uncle next door had a visitor, a dentist, salt of the earth. His 3 or 4 year old son came along.
The kid had been taught to identify cars. His dad asked him what kind of car was in our driveway........
Without batting an eye the kid blurted....... “I think that mother f@@@@r is a Pontiac. “
I barely knew the term. My bald uncle’s head turned bright red. I remember the event well after 60 or so years
Thanks.
