A pregnant woman and her three daughters were waiting in the car while the father went into the store to grab a few groceries.

The mother's water broke while he was shopping, however, and when he came outside, he saw his children yelling for him to hurry to the car.

The man had only been inside the store for a few minutes, but in that short amount of time, the mother had given birth to her fourth child

It’s expensive raising one kid, much less four!

Tell me about it. My four are turbo charged, grocery disposal machines .. LOL

...the resale value on that car just dropped dramatically.

Many, many, many, (did I say many?) years ago, in the early '70's, as a young MP pulling gate duty on the Ozark Gate at Fort Rucker, AL, a 1969 Cadillac came screaming to a halt at my gate shack.

The driver was screaming that his wife was having a baby.

I picked up the direct phone to the Desk Sergeant and requested the Patrol Sup and an ambulance.

When I got to the car, the lady was in the back seat, removing her panties, yelling that "it won't wait".

Immediately thereafter, her water broke and a huge wash of amniotic fluid and other "stuff" flooded the seats.

I did what I could, which wasn't much, consisting of literally catching the baby and placing him on her chest.

I knew better than to mess with the umbilical cord.

Meanwhile, the husband was running around screaming and raising holy hell...not about the wonderful fact that his wife had just borne him a son, but that she had totally ruined his Caddy.

Not to be crude here, but if anyone has ever witnessed such a birth, i.e., unattended by all the surgical cloths, towels, basins, etc, one is fully aware of the plethora of fluids that are, shall we say, expelled, while giving birth.

The ambulance arrived, she and son were taken to the post hospital and the father followed in the car.

I checked on them later and discovered that he had left the Caddy parked in the lot of the hospital for two days.

This occurred in the latter part of July and one can just imagine what a closed up car, full of amniotic fluid, fecal matter, and a few gauze pads soaked with blood would smell like.

She had, in all likelihood, ruined the car.

Mother and child were doing great.

Although his wife thanked me several times, he never did.

Oh, and did I mention that the seats were white leather?

Not vinyl. but soft, supple leather, which most effectively soaked up much of the fluids.

The couple didn’t want the publicity. What’s wrong with being quiet for a change?

Is the world so upside down that it’s actually considered *weird* when someone wants privacy and doesn’t want their personal business splashed all over the internet?

One of my friends gave birth in the city park. The family went out for a picnic. They got all settled at the bench, she took a bite of her sandwich, then *boom*!

They managed to get her to the back seat of the car and a paramedic happened to be at the park with his own family.

He delivered the baby, she finished chewing, and swallowed the bite of her sandwich.

Three minutes flat.

She was a pretty little thing, too.
