New year means new challenges for health care law

This could be the year that things finally turn around for President Barack Obama’s health care law. Yet it could start with another round of glitches that vex consumers and leave Republicans crowing, “We told you so.”

The law’s major benefits take effect with the new year, along with an unpopular insurance mandate and the risk of more nerve-racking coverage disruptions. […]

Although the stated goal of the law was to cover the uninsured, at least 4.7 million insured people had individual policies canceled because they didn’t measure up to new requirements. That forced an apology from the president, who had famously promised that if you like your health plan, you can keep it. The administration says it believes most of those people have secured new coverage.

Americans with job-based health plans are also worried. A recent Associated Press-GfK poll found that most people who’ve seen their employers scale back coverage blame that on Obama’s law, even though businesses were shifting health costs to workers before the law passed. …

ObamaCARE is not about healthcare.

It is about stealing money of the NON EXEMPT
(Moslems and Congress are EXEMPT)
for the Chicago mob and for redistribution
to blacks, illegals aliens, and to the EXEMPT.

I truly hoped the author’s new years resolution would have been to stop drinking the Koolaid.

You got that right.

AS FREEPER GOPJ INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: "Obamacare was designed to benefit Democrats" (and hand-picked Democrat voting blocs---blocs that fulfill Obama's plans for a permanent Democratic majority):

<><> Blacks, browns, minorities, the melanin-underclass, benefit because of low, or no, income,

<><> Gays benefit for preexisting conditions, like HIV, and other STD's.

<><>State-dependent women benefit - Dems work hard to undermine marriage, to make them state-dependent, to make them qualify.

<><> Union lefties were given exemptions.

Last but not least....

"Liberal Elites" get the best doctors - their offices cleared of us middle-class riff-raff... elites won't have to wait as long to see a doctor as Republican riff-raff.

SUMMING UP: Liberal elites got the gold. Republicans, conservatives, patriots, tea partiers, job-holders, the middle class, small business owners, etc....we got the shaft.

You say you don't vote Democrat? You get to pay for everything.

‘Rate Shock’? ObamaCare launch brings renewed concern over insurance tax
Published January 01, 2014
FoxNews.com

New Year’s Day marks the start of coverage under ObamaCare for millions of people — but it also marks the start of a massive tax increase which could further inflate premiums.

Beginning Wednesday, the Affordable Care Act imposes an annual fee on health insurers. The fee is projected to bring in $8 billion next year and roughly $100 billion over the next decade, making it one of the biggest under the law.

The health insurance industry has been howling about the “tax” for years, and is trying to rally support for a bill in Congress that would repeal it. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., has 229 co-sponsors — which represents a majority of members in the House.

But the White House will fight any effort to repeal it, and for now the measure is in effect.

On Tuesday, America’s Health Insurance Plans President Karen Ignagni warned that the fee will end up hitting consumers in the form of higher premiums.
