Over the past few days, an online rumor has emerged regarding the question of whether Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is gay. Weve ignored them, for a couple of reasons.
First, it doesnt matter if he is. Second, he hadnt personally addressed the rumor.
On Tuesday, Rodgers tackled the topic during his weekly appearance on ESPN Milwaukee. We know this because one of the ESPN Milwaukee on-air hosts sent us an email with a partial transcript of Rodgers comments.
Im not gay, Rodgers said. I really, really like women. Thats all I can say about that.

Out of all the things that I am concerned about this ranks about ten millionth Come on folks let’s stay focused
Biker #2: I say we kill him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Biker #3: I say we hang him, then we kill him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Biker #4: I say we scalp him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Biker #4: Then we tattoo him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Biker #4: Then we hang him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Biker #4: And then we kill him!
Biker Gang: [shouts] Yeah!
Pee-wee Herman: [trying to throw voice without moving lips] I say we let him go.
Biker Gang: [shouts] No!
Biker Mama: [whistles] I say you let me have him first!
Biker Gang: Yeah!
Then why bring it up?
LOL!
You cannot be that humorless.
The person who started this was from Chicago. Nice try.
Besides, the Niners have beaten the Packers at least the last three times. Not a big deal.
First, if you peruse my posts you would know
that I often attempt to be humorous. Second,
at least one other poster wondered about your
statement. And, third, if your statement was
meant to be serious instead of humorous how
in hell would it look any different?
The streak ends here!
In hell, I don't know.
On FR it would probably look like this:
"It is disgusting and unsportsmanlike for Niners fans to try to ruin Rodgers' reputation like this. He should demand a formal apology."
Or something like that.
“Or something like that.”
Or, just the way you stated it in the first place.....
I work with at-risk kids who often make off-the-wall
comments. When called on it their common response is
“just playin’”.So forgive me if I failed to read your
mind.
Yep, I would say "No comment", and let the speculating begin.
Rodgers is a great QB in my view, one of the elites, a friend of mine says he is real arrogant, don’t know where he got that from.
That said, Rodgers has big sponsorship deals. One popped up on my computer for State Farm recently. He certainly could have some motivation to come out and try to dispel these rumors.
I don’t know the story well, but it’s crappy if someone is ratting on him. He hasn’t killed or raped someone. I don’t really care as long as it doesn’t become an issue on the field.
'Ive got a roommate, a guy I met in town, he says. He works for the Packers now as an athletic trainer, but he was interning when I met him and we just hit it off. Hes been great for me as far as great conversations outside of football. Our friendship goes a lot deeper than what we do.
You made me LOL. :)
??
Has he daouble checked?
i know the origins of the line... and i do agree that there is something wrong with it... i am somewhat surprised that he didn’t end his clarification with the line... but unlike you, i do find humor in the line...
No hard feelings? And Blessedly Happy New Year to you!
