Just got around to opening mail, United Healthcare has signed me over to a new doctor.
The battle begins tomorrow!
wait til women find out hey have to give up their OB\GYN....
That’s the guy who played the goblin king in the first Hobbit movie.
This story is going to be huge Jan 1st, when huge numbers of people find out they can’t see their regular doctor, or even hospital.

“There are five boxes to use in the defense of Liberty: The Soap Box, the Mail Box, the Ballot Box, the Jury Box, and the Ammunition Box. Please use them in that order.”
We have spoken up against socialism four all five terrible years under the Marxist. We have written to all levels of government in opposition to the evil being inflicted upon us. Living voters have opposed socialism at the polls, although we are outnumbered by the parasites, when they are supported by the fictional and the dead and counted by SEIU. We cannot take the criminals to trial, not with Eric Holder as Attorney General. It looks like we are out of options. Almost. I wonder if the next step will be organized (by South Carolina again?) or chaotic. I hope this evil can be stopped, preferably peacefully.
Careful...
I want a GP who will handle most things and not be constantly sending me to specialists. I can only afford so much copay in a month. I had to hammer the fact that I don't take food stamps, don't have a free phone and don't live in subsidized housing into my current doctors head or I would be living under a bridge.
I am aware that my medical conditions will kill me some day, maybe soon, and if I have any hidden conditions they really don't matter, no point in worrying about them and bankrupting myself.
I am not going to go on Medicaid, no way in Hell!
I asked a pulmonary specialist who wanted to run a bunch of tests, involving more specialists, what he could do if he found something serious. He had to admit that my current condition would preclude surgery and most other options. Why should I waste my time and what life I have left on things I can't do a damned thing about?
I don't dwell on every little ache or pain, I don't have time for that crap, there is too much I want to do.
I plan not to get sick................
That was my plan too.
You moved to Cuba?
Sadly, you are going to start seeing guilds for Dr.’s whose sole purpose is ti increase their opportunities and become a barrier for other Dr.’s
I’ll bet they want the 70 bucks if your deduct is not met as well.
I sure would if I was running the place. Far to many think obamacare is free.
I haven’t ever had a same doctor in two consecutive visit EVER!
I’ve had the same GP for 13 years. He works out of a store front , but graduated top of his class from Rice Medical School.
He’s not Mr. Personality, though over the years we have gotten to know each other pretty well. I’m blessed that I’m not often sick, but I can call him up and ask him to prescribe something for me, and he’ll do it.
The next time I see him, I’ll be interested in hearing his take on the bummer care.
Keep us apprised on this development. This is just awful.
Wait until you find about your deductible and how that works.
Yes, Simply "Having insurance" after January 1st, will be minimal evidence of one's ability to pay the deductible, especially subsidized exchange policies. The $70 really seems low. My simple office visits, no procedures at all, are billed at $250+. Insurance pays about $43 lol. A big part of the $250 is the "facilities charge" that hospital clinics can tack on.
I haven’t ever had a same doctor in two consecutive visit EVER!
Bad case of goiter.
That sucks. My condolences.
I will say, however, that this has happened to me more than once over the last twenty years. I hate it when my doctor that I like jumps ship from my insurance. But it has happened to me before, long before Obamacare.
