Phil Robertson, the patriarch of AMC’s mega-hit show “Duck Dynasty”, said recently the family was told to quit praying to Jesus because it might offend Muslims.
Robertson told Sports Spectrum:
So when we pray we say “In Jesus name, Amen.” …It’s a very good idea, I think. So, they would have me say, “Thank you Lord for the food. Thank you for the blessings. Amen.” So, I said, “Why would you cut out ‘in Jesus name?’” And they said, “Well, these editors they think they don’t want to offend some Muslims or something.”

When the editors of Duck Dynasty asked the stars to stop saying “In Jesus Name” during prayers because it might offend Muslims, Phil Robertson had to stand his ground.
:O) sounds like a great idea to me, but I don’t think the Robertsons would go for it..I know things always end up on the editors floor, but I hope none of it is about Jesus or their faith...
Yes, and before that episode even finished the Islamic world would be rioting, killing, taking hostages, etc. They’re such “live and let live” types.
Same here. We watched it once to see what all the hoopla was about. Why the store are filled with everything Duck Dynasty. I don’t get it. I guess when one moves up into “geezer” territory, you look at things differently. Maybe I would have liked it when I was younger. Who knows.
When Lowes pulled ads off of All American Muslim, Libs went crazy and started a boycott. One Moonbat California State Senator (but I repeat myself) even considered Legislation to make them put the ads back on.
How about a litter of pigs named Mohammed,Myhammed,Yohammed,Alhammed and Lahamme? At the end of the season they can all be turned into bacon and fed to the dogs!
I would say about as many Muslim watch Duck Dynasty as those that order McRibs at McDonalds!?
And feed it bacon on-camera.
Then so be it. It’s not worth selling your soul for a tv show.
I enjoyed their book. Phil really had a dramatic conversion experience, he was not a good man by any standard but had a life change. Glad they have prospered.
This is very interesting ... because a whole lot of people believe in “God” - from cult groups - all the way through to Muslims. So ... “God” seems to be acceptable.
And using “Lord” seems to be acceptable across the board, too.
BUT — it was in the wisdom of God that JESUS is the centerpiece of the Bible, and God’s Word to the world. God makes Jesus himself the centerpiece and the ONLY WAY to salvation. Jesus is the stumbling block to all these others. That’s why some others don’t even want the mere mention of his name.
So ALWAYS zero in on Jesus and the sole and exclusive salvation that he offers. It’s not about church, it’s not about saying “God”, it’s not about the Bible, it’s not about faith - but it’s solely about Jesus and what He has done. And this is why so many others want to exclude the name of Jesus, but not “God”.
Jesus is so offensive because of Who He is and what He did
says that “no matter what you do, you’ll never be good enough to be reconciled with God, and you will be damned forever”.
Pretty offensive. And True.
I’m an OT believer. However, if they chase Jesus from the show they will have chased me too.
A few years back, I guess I looked like a Jesus-figure, because of the comments I would get and some people yelling (joking, of course), “It’s Jesus!”
Now, lately, people are walking up and asking me of I’m on Duck Dynasty ... LOL ... I wish I got the kind of money they’re getting ... :-) ...
Amd that beats being asked if I was part of ZZ Top, which many asked before Duck Dynasty!
Okay, I do.
I’d like them to say Jesus (in a non cursing way, of course) about a 1000 times when an episode if being shot. Which are curses and which are honest praises of Him that are “offensive” to Muslims? Will drive the editors nuts bleeping.
Maybe those Mooselips are going to have to become more tolerant of Jesus Christ in America? Time to buy some DD gear.

not a lotta Muslims are watching Duck Dynasty…..What? You never heard of Khaddaffy Duck? Gee, his turkey got stuffed a year or so ago.
But they don't mind cashing the checks from the show's sponsors and what ever cut they get from product licensing.
