Phil Robertson, the patriarch of AMC’s mega-hit show “Duck Dynasty”, said recently the family was told to quit praying to Jesus because it might offend Muslims.
Robertson told Sports Spectrum:
So when we pray we say “In Jesus name, Amen.” …It’s a very good idea, I think. So, they would have me say, “Thank you Lord for the food. Thank you for the blessings. Amen.” So, I said, “Why would you cut out ‘in Jesus name?’” And they said, “Well, these editors they think they don’t want to offend some Muslims or something.”

When the editors of Duck Dynasty asked the stars to stop saying “In Jesus Name” during prayers because it might offend Muslims, Phil Robertson had to stand his ground.

The proper response is “No.”
But for the show’s producers, the family’s strong Christian faith seems to be an uncomfortable storyline — one frequently chopped in the editing room.
“They pretty much cut out most of the spiritual things,” Phil Robertson, a one-time honky-tonk operator who gave up his heathen lifestyle in the 1970s, told The Christian Chronicle. “We say them, but they just don’t run them on the show.
“Hollywood has run upon the kingdom of God, and there’s a rub there,” said the Duck Commander, a tenacious personal evangelist who has brought hundreds of souls to new life in the Ouachita River. “Well, we have to be as harmless as a dove and as shrewd as a snake in the way we deal with them.”
Just a wiiiiiild guess here…..not a lotta Muslims are watching Duck Dynasty…..

Liberals are intellectually dishonest (to say the least). They don’t mind hiding behind the imam’s skirt just to get rid of any reference to God.
Oh - but it was just fine for TLC to throw that garbage Moslem Show on us - until everyone soon became outraged at the propaganda that the show was cancelled...that show was just fine...but anything to do with Christianity is offensive...this NATION was founded by Christian men that wrote a Christian document called the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights...if someone doesn’t like the US for that - THEN LEAVE!

Christianity is HIGHLY offensive.
And the left hates the Constitution and the founding principles because, as you stated, they are based on Christian beliefs.
I watched Duck Dynasty one time..I actually wondered what the fascination with The Robertson family is all about. They just seemed pretty normal to me.
It made me think that people who are from different parts of the country must find them “kitchy” or something.
Perhaps to be not so exclusive of Muslims, the family should get a dog and name it Mohammed.
I find the show boring and tedious and predictable….but I’m really happy it’s a hit, because of what the Robertsons stand for.
I just don’t care to watch it. Call me a non-watching fan.
Muslims is a red herring. It’s mainly the libs that hate DD and the christian faith and family programming. Blame it on muslims. Not defending muslims, just pointing the finger in a more deserving direction. Liberalism is death.

Well it’s good to see that Phil Robertson stood up for himself and wouldn’t cave in to the liberals. I thought the part about him saying the producers wanted him and the cast to start cussing was telling. What they were trying to tell Phil Robertson is that all Southerners cuss and stay drunk all the time. A little history lesson about the Robertson’s. Phil and Si are college graduates. Phil has a Masters in Education and was a teacher for years and Si has a bachelors, is a Vietnam vet, retiring from the Army. Willie also has a degree. I think his is in business. These are not your typical “rednecks”, just because they have long beards and like to hunt and fish. But they are your typical Southerners, who believe in God and take care of their family. God bless em!

I'd bet $10k that this is the real reason for this crap going on in schools all over the land.
It has nothing to do with a supposed separation of church and state. What BS. This crap never went on before the normalization of Islamo-fascists in our society.
