Why does Santa need a fighter escort? Children's groups outraged as NORAD militarises Christmas Eve tracker

Outraged child advocates are blasting NORAD's new 3D Santa Tracker program because it includes a fighter jet escort for jolly old Saint Nick.
Some say the new online portrait could give kids the wrong impression about Santa Claus - associating him with the military and violence.
But Pentagon officials argue the North American Aerospace Defense Command is a military organization - its purpose is to track incursions of the airspace over the U.S. and Canada - and the inclusion of fighter jets into Santa's new digital flight across the world is a nod to NORAD's true mission.
Josh Golin, associate director of the Boston-based Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, says the new campaign is ‘reprehensible’ since it played on children's fears by suggesting that Santa Claus was vulnerable to attack.
‘It's a backdoor way of marketing to kids when they are not supposed to be recruiting until they are much older,’ he said.
Allen Kanner, a child psychologist with the same group, told the Boston Globe: 'Children associate Santa with gifts and fun and everything else that is positive about Christmas.
'They are associating this with the military in children’s minds. It is completely out of line.'

Oh my GOSH! In Calif. new regs make it illegal to have fireplaces in new developments, so how will Santa be able to get inside to the Christmas Tree now. I think THAT’s more important an issue than a fighter escort for Santa.

These fools do realize they are calling or accessing NORAD, a military entity? And they’re surprised there might be the slightest hint of military involved? It is NORAD people, not the local garden club.
Maybe NORAD should stick to reality as should these ninnies.
I do hate these people, I am convinced the people that are so anti-military are the same ones that don’t like crosses, don’t like Nativities, oh don’t sing Christmas carols...oh don’t even use the word Christmas it is offensive...total stark raving craziness! Near as I can figure it, Santa needs an escort of fighter aircraft (preferably weaponed with anti-missile technology), in order to ensure protection from NASA.
We know that NASA is doing Muslim outreach and Muslims reaching out, often involves thangs blowin' up reeeeel guud. Therefore, since NASA has missle technology and Muslim outreach, NORAD has to defend against NASA's outreach to Muslims via missile attacks on Santa! (/santasarc)

No ... those "outraged child advocates" need to ESAD.
Donner and Blitzen came out as queer reindeer earlier this year... (and we all thought is was Dancer and Cupid!). The armed fighter escort is the current USAF top brass’ method to protect and empower their queerness for the whole world to embrace/emulate.
Santa also needs some electronic jamming aircraft ahead of the fighters. A wave of cruise missiles could be dispatched to take out any ground threats to Santa; such “child advocate” groups.
These fags really need to get a life AND A REAL JOB.
I have despised NORAD doing this for the following reason.
Back in October of 1962, we went through the Cuban Missile crisis. War was coming, NUCLEAR WAR! The whole world was on pins and needles. Then it was resolved and things settled down, but we still did not trust the Russians and was prepared to hear of an attack at any time!
That Dec 24, in the evening, there was a break in the news program for an alert from NORAD! Radar had detected an incoming flying object coming over the pole! Everyone thought, OMG THIS IS IT! The pucker factor went straight up! the knots in the stomach began!
Then they cut to a cheap picture of a sleigh with fake clouds floating by!
We were P*ssed and relieved at the same time.
It was NOT FUNNY.
