Fights over items greatly reduced have taken place at Walmart stores in Beaumont, Texas; Jordan Creek in Iowa; Johnson City in Tennessee and Rialto in California. There was also a stabbing in a Walmart car park outside Walmart in Claypool Hill, Virginia.

Dick’s Sporting Goods was opened at 8pm where I live. There was a huge crowd. A lot of good looking women shopping too! ;)
There is ALL of December to shop. Spread sales specials out or drop your prices and LEAVE them there. This is creating a frenzy and inviting mobs and fighting then complaining about it. I opt OUT! Christmas will be how and WHEN I want it...not over by Christmas eve.
I'm a member of the same club...not one damn dime spent on the holidays.
We watch football, the the rest of the world watches Walmart fight reports!

Judging by the games yesterday, the Walmart fights are more entertaining.
This is why I both stay away from Wal-Mart and Black Friday.
Yes: But that would be racist.
Ahhh, lovely Rialto, just 20 minutes away. Here is the story -
Either way you get to watch a lot of concussions happen.
So basically more people are killed by light rail in Houston and Minneapolis in a couple years than all stores in America combined for “Black Friday” in 7 years.
I wonder why leftists are not outraged.
Understandable. After all, what’s really important in this country? Why it’s things, of course. Do anything and everything to get the latest greatest things. Nothing else matters - self respect, rights of other people - nah! Go grab them things, that’s what’s really important in this materialistic country.
Ready for the punchline? Unless things have changed in the last couple of years, Wal Mart will restock most of these items at the same prices before Christmas.
It matters not to me, the last few years have been harsh for us so we decided what few dollars we have to spend will be given directly to nieces and nephews and they can save or spend it as they wish. We will no longer do the crap for cash dance in the stores.
I’m glad to see that there are others on this thread who don’t go in for mindless shopping at big box stores. I do go to big box stores when I need something. I don’t think Ive ever done Black Friday shopping before but then noticed that Petsmart has 35 lb. buckets of Tidy Cat for half price. So tonight I will be going to Everett Mall. They aren’t actually in the mall, but nearby. It’s not much of a mall. No Nordstroms—you have to go to Lynnwood for that.
I’ve never carried a 35 lb. bucket of cat box filler on the bus before. But I’ll just concentrate on how long it will last before I have to buy cat box filler again and I also will have a cool bucket afterwords.
But did they get any bargains? That’s what matters.
Obama voters?
We drove by a Wally World last night. The parking lot was overflowing as we’re the neighboring lots of closed businesses. People were jay-running across the street in the dark. It was depressing seeing people acting like locusts over stuff. This morning the parking lot was full of garbage.
3 fights? Heck, wasn't that just another day in the 'hood?
I can’t help thinking that a lot of retailers bring this on themselves — how many times have you heard the word “Doorbuster” in their ads, and what does that imply?
