With great sadness and tribute I write to tell of the passing of Earl One Lung McClung, one of the original Band of Brothers. Earl died at his home in Pueblo West, Colorado, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
He was 90.

..play by Rocky Marshall
RIP. Condolences to the family of this American Hero.
Good for him.
Rest in Peace
Thanks for this thread. It lead me to the blog and there are some great posts about other members of the Real Life Band of Brothers.
It is sad to realize that as the days pass the Men that defended our nation against the Axis Powers in WWII are soon to all be lost to us.
A whole section of important history will be gone soon as the people who were there will no longer be with us. Productions like Band of Brothers helps to stem that tide.
Thanks to you "One Lung" you served your country well.
All the way, Airborne. All the way...
Thank you for your service to our nation Earl.
We will always remain grateful.
Hand Salute.
God, receive One Lung.
Isn’t that a picture of Roy Cobb (or the actor who portayed him?)?
Hand Salute. Thanks to the greatest generation for our freedom.
Amen.
Another hero has left us.
When I was a little kid, I must’ve been surrounded by WWII Veterans.
I wish I’d known then what I know now. I would’ve asked them about their experiences and written down everything they said.
Thank God a few talented authors (namely Mr. Brotherton) had the wherewithal to do just that.
Rest in Peace, Mr. McClung, and Thank You for your service and sacrifice.
I am thankful this man lived and fought on our side.
He seemed like the typical person that is proud to be called an American.Life was not easy for him, but he persevered through triumph and tragedy.
The idiot in the White House will not note his passing, but we will.
Thank you,Earl.
Rest easy, soldier. You’ve earned it.
I never knew there were lyrics.
Damn these leaky eyes.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving.
I thank God for men such as these. RIP
You never lived to see
What you gave to me
One shining dream of hope and love
Life and liberty
With a host of brave unknown soldiers
For your company you will live forever
Here in our memory
In fields of sacrifice
Heroes paid the price
Young men who died for old men’s wars
Gone to paradise
We are all one great band of brothers
And one day you’ll see we can live together
When all the world is free
I wish you’d lived to see
All you gave to me
Your shining dream of hope and love
Life and liberty
We are all one great band of brothers
And one day you’ll see - we can live together
When all the world is free
