***THE OFFICIAL FRIDAY SILLINESS THREAD***

Posted on 11/08/2013 4:28:48 AM PST by Lucky9teen

SILLY BUILDINGS

This gives new meaning to living in your car

Who's ready for a picnic?

I really love elephants

This one is for the dogs

Living in a Concerto

Inspired by J.K. Rowling?

That building is fishy

I wouldn't want to go home to this, after a night of drinking

Judy Walkman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor. On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle. Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research: "Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed." NOW THAT's how it's done, Folks! That's real POLITICAL SPIN !!!

The real reason Obama said PERIOD after those lines in his speech? He was possessed by the ghost of Victor Borge.

I had to become bi-lingual and use my English english to get that one. Subtle.

Re-read it. This time, put the names “Hansel and Gretel” for the kids names.

The second one has no explanation. I’d be pissed were one of my kids to bring that home...

I get the Hansel and Gretel rip off. What I don’t get is “Dad really loved the kids so he abandoned them in the woods.”

Was either that or New Mom would kill them...

Loves me some Brothers Grimm. Not the watered down stuff either.

That is what I don't get.

Feed New Mom a nice pudding with yew berries in it.

Problem goes away without having to take your children into the woods.

We had a cat who got caught in one of those plastic grocery bags.

He took off so fast that he tore out one of his claws.

What a bloody mess, literally, but the claw did grow back again.

He was forevermore frightened of the crinkly noise of grocery bags.

Yeah... I don’t get it either. Monarchies normally make me think of pitchforks, torches, and guillotines.
