Maybe Harkin doesn't realize that there are major differences between the usual (non-government) health insurance policy and a local property tax. One is a contract between two private parties in which government, pursuant to Obamacare, is interfering and dictating provisions. The other is a tax, which by definition compels a private citizen or private company involved in a specified activity to pay a government so that it can (theoretically) raise funds for the common good. BTW, contrary to Harkin, not all local property tax revenues are spent on public education, far from it.

Of course, Harkin's own personal health insurance is subsidized by the very same taxpayers whom Obamacare is not only ripping off but giving a lesser standard of health care.

When is the old curmudgeon leftist retiring? His "new values" system is much closer to the Soviet Union's than America's, so let him enjoy retirement one of the socialist "paradises" toward which he's dragging us.
