Thank God the Patriots are in the AFC East, which used to be a tough division. In the NFC Central they’d probably be 2-6.
The Pats still have as many wins as both teams playing in New Jersey and almost twice as many as all three Florida teams combined.
Anyone know what the pre-season Vegas odds were for the Chiefs to win the SB..and/or go undefeated?
When the Vikes lose on Thursday they will have the worst start in their 52 years of existence. Right now they are tied for worst with the 1961, first-year expansion team.
Their semi-official motto for the year has become “Embrace the Suck”
Believe it, or not, I think the game against the Bills shows what a good team they are. They only scored 9 offensive points, and gave up over 500 yards on defense. Both teams had miscues that cost them points. The Chief's performance was a C+ outing, at best, yet they managed to win by a 10 point margin. Surely they have some things they need to work on, the offense in particular, still they have proven that they now know how to win under adversity.
On a side note, notice how teams that aren't that good have brought their A game when facing the Chiefs. The Raiders that got trounced this weekend, were not the same one that played the Chief's; same goes for the Texans this weekend, too.
Kraft is brilliant. That franchise is the envy of the league. No matter what, Bill manages to squeeze enough football out of his team every year to not just be competitive but legit contenders.
I don’t see the Decatur Staleys listed.
After years of wearing paper bags over our heads, us Seahawks fans finally have a team we can be proud of. Of course, they haven’t won anything yet, so there’s still a long way to go.
But if Aaron Rogers’ injury is serious, that’s the end of the Packers this season.
Right now the jets would be the 2nd wildcard out of the AFC ...which is ugly.
Watch out for Chip Kelly’s Eagles. They have already won more games than anyone thought.
Go Ducks
O Pittsburgh my Pittsburgh
what has become of thee?
(a crappy offensive coordinator, that’s what )
The Steelers look bad. I know every team is different, but they are starting to look like a complete rebuild is necessary to be competitive. Considering how many players remain from a good team it is confusing. Same thing with the Giants.
I think Bobby Herbert said it best about the Saints-
You might be 6 and 2, but you are not a strong 6 and 2.
I do not think the Saints are going anywhere this year personally.
Go Browns!
Too bad your coach is Pete Carroll. You will never convince me otherwise that he was not part of the USC mess and bailed out and made it clean while others went down.
Go, Panthers!!
(Wondering how long their winning streak can last, but happy, anyway)!
Still this is Belichick’s best coaching job, so far. To have them competitive, much less leading the AFC East with all of their issues.
If the Eagles could just play all their games on the road, they might make the Super Bowl.
